I know this Christmas will be meager and rough for quite a few of us. Im writing this to try to give peace to those that are in rough times. My family will not be having the "blowout" Christmas my kids are used to,not so much becaue we cant afford it but because its time this mentality stops!Im the one in my family that usually feels the pressure to give the kids EVERYTHING they want and I truly enjoy sitting back watching the lokks on thier faces as they open gift after gift.My wife has helped me see the error in my thinking.

Look back over this year and all the economic reality checks we have watched happen. What does it tell us? It should tell us that Americans have grown too big for thier britches and live well above thier means. Why do we think we need all this stuff? Tv ads? Keeping up with the "jones's"? Immediate material gratification? ..........I think we all suffer from these influences more often than we admit.

So sit back and ask yourself.....If you knew it was all going to be over six months from now,...What is REALLY important? What is your most important objective as a parent? Spouse? Brother? Sister? Son? Daughter? or friend?

I hope youll see that as a parent you want to teach your kids the realities of life and prepare them for life on thier own WITHOUT UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS OF WHAT LIFE WILL BE. Why are so many on "mood" drugs these days? Could it be that they expected too much out of life?Did thier parents misrepresent life in such a way that they ALWAYS feel "depressed"? I think thats it in a nutshell. America has come to a time of reckoning-we have built a house of cards that is starting to fail-we have simply inflated the bubble and now we will watch it burst!  I say GOOD!  Pop that bubble and lets get back to the things that are important in life. Lets stop focusing on the material things that only steal our time from whats important while fueling the fire through some sort of justification because we can rain down gifts on the ones we love. The ones that really would be happier if we took the time to grow closer to one another.

This holiday for Christians is supposed to be about the celebration of our Saviors birth and yet we have let it grow into a materialistic monster that lost the message and added tons of UNEEDED stress.

Thanks to my wife who has the uncanny knack of keeping this mans feet firmly planted on the ground and helps me to remember whats important and where to lay my burdens. She tells me to "lay them on the cross". It may sound simple or even silly to some, but that phrase gives me peace.

Even if your not a Christian or even a believer, let not your heart be troubled this year. Be the best friend, parent, sibling, son or daughter you can be and leave all the materialism out of it. If you do this you will undoubtably make a difference in somones life that they will be eternally grateful,WITHOUT SPENDING A DIME!

Hug your mom and dad, tell your kids you love them and want to prepare them for the real world, let your siblings know you are there for them and tell your friends why you call them "friends".If you believe, tell your God thank you for your health and all your blessings.

THESE ARE YOUR ONLY OBLIGATIONS THIS SEASON!

HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Twas the night before Yule and all through the house,

The pagans were dancing and worshipping the mouse,

The idols were hanging all over with care,

the sun god,the rain god and even a mare,

The children sequestered, from what they might see,

fornication and lust and worship of trees,

mama was naked, she said with a clap,

she was now sitting on another mans lap,

do not be mad,she said with such glee,

thats when I noticed others looking at me,

we all came together in ritual and lust,

the morality of others, avoid it,we must,

its only ritual and no one gets hurt,

across the room I dashed removing my shirt,

Thats when we heard from above such a BOOM,

The earth was quaking and shaking the room,

The windows blew out and the door flew off,

everyone was trembleing, too shaken to scoff,

In walked Lord Jesus, majestic in white,

they all sat there shaking in his godly light,

He spoke to them softly,as only he can,

Why do you say,"Im only a man",

I gave you my words and miracles to see,

and here you have orgies and worship a tree,

You degrade me and mine and squander your worth,

and you even question the day of my birth,

Ive given my blood and even my life,

and you disrespect me by turning your wife,

I oft regret that I gave you freewill,

But its you that you hurt when you steal ,lie and kill,

you worship my creatures as though they were gods,

never stopping to think I made them with nods,

My power is great but Ill leave you your house,

To cower in the corner and worship your mouse,

And Ill leave you your will,as I turn away,

Ill see you all soon,on judgement day,

I looked at my wife, her face was agast,

this yuletide trist was surely her last,

we put on our cloths and walked to the door,

our pagan friends still amazed on the floor,

I turned and said with a glance,

The REAL Lord has spoken and given us a chance,

After we left and were clear out of sight,

I heard my friends say.........

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Lets have a discussion about the history of corruption in the two parties. We all know it exist on both sides but how do the parties react when one of thiier own succumbs to thier dark side.Ill reserve specific instances for the debate but I will assert that democrats ALWAYS point the finger at "vast right wing conspiracies" and 'the politics of personal destruction" and take no blame and REFUSE to resign, while republicans have a FAR BETTER record of purging bad apples from thier party.

With recent evidence showing that the Earth hasnt warmed like enviromentalist have warned,is global warming a fear tactic of the past. The new buzz word is "climate change" because its vague and harder to lock down to any specific pattern. So now every time the weather "changes" enviromentalist will persucute us for being the evil Earth rapers they believe us to be.

There ya go heathen-let the games begin!

Chapter 11 protection might be useful for service businesses like airlines or noncomplex manufacturers like steelmakers, but it's difficult to see how it could work for an automaker, where wide, deep, and intricate financial links run both upstream (e.g., suppliers) and downstream (e.g., dealers) from the core enterprise. If GM were to file for Chapter 11 protection, the consequences would likely be catastrophic for the highly interconnected U.S. auto industry, affecting the viability of companies that might also supply parts, components, and materials to the likes of Ford and Toyota.

And then there's this: Chapter 11 allows companies to reorganize and trade out of their difficulties. We've all flown on bankrupt airlines. But would you buy a car or truck from a bankrupt automaker?
MOTORTREND BLOG-

I dont know Im not convinced bankruptcy isnt an option. Why cant all parties that are reliant on the industry make certain sacrifices in the name of survival? The UAW,parts suppliers and dealers? It seems a better option than throwing money at the problem. Maybe we should see if thier "plan" has any "meat" to it and go from there.

The biggest obstacle I see them having to overcome if they file chapter11 is buyer confidence. Can you sell cars that people will rely on warranties if the company is technically bankrupt? I dont know but that is the ONLY aspect of bankruptcy that seems to be a real problem. Could the government participate in guarantees on warranties instead of handing over cash? Oldsmobile went down a few years back and buyer confidence was low because of the warranty factor so GM made a massive ad campaign to reassure owners that GM would back Oldsmobiles.Could the government instill such confidence?

Lets discuss......

Whenever the time may be for you to purchase or lease a new vehicle, keep this information in mind. You might want to give more consideration to a car manufactured by an American-owned and / or American based company. Apart from Hyundai and Volkswagen, the foreign car companies contributed nothing at all to the citizens of the United States ... It's OK for these companies to take money out of this country, but it is apparently not acceptable to return some in a time of crisis. I believe we should not forget things like this when the Government bails out AIG to the tune of $157 billion and spent over $1 million in company retreats, this year alone.

Ill keep this short cause the initial post was so long.Im not necessarily for a bailout of the big 3,Im going to investigate thier reasoning for not wanting to go that route and mat post on it later. I thought this was very telling and I believe that not only in cars,we need to buy American when ever possible. At no time in history has it been this important that we do so.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Dr. Rozangela Justino, who we understand has been called before the Brazilian Board of Psychology because she believes that homosexuality is changeable, and that it is a form of psychosexual immaturity.

I am the President of the National Association of Research and Therapy of Homosexuality. NARTH is a 1,000-member professional group in the U.S. composed of psychologists, psychiatrists, psychoanalysts.

Perhaps you would be interested in our recent study of 882 formerly homosexual men and women who have experienced a substantial degree of sexual-orientation change. The professional journal Psychological Reports published our study in June 2000.

Among the findings:

A total of 45.4% of the respondents reported a shift that made them more heterosexual than homosexual. The respondents who had undertaken therapy were overwhelmingly in agreement that counseling had helped them reduce their homosexual attractions.  Many perceived their homosexual behaviors as an addiction.

A large majority said their religious and spiritual beliefs played a crucial role in overcoming their homosexuality.

Areas of functioning in which the respondents reported significant improvement include the following:

·                  Self-acceptance

·                  Self-understanding

·                  Sense of personal power

·                  Assertiveness

·                  Sense of clarity and security in gender identity

·                  Self-esteem

·                  Diminishment of loneliness

·                  Improvement in emotional stability and maturity

·                  Lessened depression

·                  Better ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts

·                  Decreased homosexual thoughts, feelings and behaviors

Before counseling or therapy, 68% of the respondents perceived themselves as exclusively or almost entirely homosexual.  After treatment, only 13% perceived themselves as exclusively or almost entirely homosexual.

Also, the following respected professionals have expressed at least conditional support for the possibility of sexual orientation change:

Robert Spitzer,  M.D., the psychiatrist who is called the “architect of the 1973 decision” that removed homosexuality from the DSM, recently expressed serious concern about the movement against sexual-reorientation therapy.  In two months, Dr. Spitzer is scheduled to report the findings of his own study to the American Psychiatric Association.  He studied about 200 individuals who say they have achieved a sexual orientation change and have maintained that change for at least 5 years.

Dr. Spitzer says:

“I’m convinced from people I have interviewed…many of them…have made substantial changes toward becoming heterosexual.  I came to this study skeptical.  I now claim that these changes can be sustained.”

About exclusive homosexuality, he conceded, “I think, implicitly, there is something not working.”

Dr. Raymond Fowler, Chief Executive Officer of the American Psychological Association, says that his interpretation of the APA’s position on reparative therapy is that those who wish to explore developing heterosexual feelings or behaviors have a right to do so as part of every client’s right to self-determination.

Dr. Brent Scharman, former president of the Utah Psychological Association, considers himself a “typical” psychologist—not an activist on either side of the homosexual issue—and he says that all homosexual individuals should have the right to pursue change.  It is the client, he says, who should determine the direction of the treatment.

Dr. Warren Throckmorton, past president of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, studied a broad cross-section of research on sexual-orientation change.  He says such treatment has been effective, can be conducted in an ethical manner, and should be available to those clients requesting such assistance. His paper was published two years ago (“Attempts to Modify Sexual Orientation: A Review of Outcome Literature and Ethical Issues,” Journal of Mental Health Counseling October 1998, vol. 20, pp. 283-304).

Dr. Martin Seligman, 1998 President of the American Psychological Association, cites research in his book What You Can Change and What You Can't that is optimistic about change for those who have had fewer homosexual experiences and/or some bisexual feelings.

In a recent paper in the premiere academic journal Psychotherapy, and again in the American Journal of Family Therapy, Dr. Mark Yarhouse of Regent University made a powerful case for such therapy:

“Psychologists have an ethical responsibility to allow individuals to pursue treatment aimed at curbing experiences of same-sex attraction…not only because it affirms the clients’ right to dignity, autonomy and agency…but also because it demonstrates regard for diversity.”

NARTH believes that effective counseling evolves from a shared value system between client and counselor. But when gay activism labels the desire to change orientation illegitimate, it imposes its own views and values on a dissatisfied homosexual, and takes away his right to self-determination.

We hope you will visit our website, www.narth.com, for documentation of these statements and others. Please feel free to contact us to discuss this issue, should you wish to do so.

Write or call your senators and congressman!

No bailout for Auto makers unless the UAW is forced to take pay/benfit cuts!

If they wont come to the table....Fire them all and put the recently unemployed to work!

If we bailout this industry we need not waste the money on union benefits or we will be in the same boat very soon!

American auto makers are the last bastion of American manufacturing we shouldnt let them fail, but without a TOTAL re-negotiation of union benefits it is a worthless proposition!

I just want to take a minute to explain that the republican party IS NOT ran by true conservatives! How does this factor into the title of this post? Ill tell ya! Since Reagan(A true unabashedly conservative President) left office the republican party has struggled to find a leader that could promote conservatism as effectively as Reagan did. Newt Gingrich is the closest we have come and he did a great job of controlling Clinton but he wasnt good at letting the American people know that it was the republicans of 1994 that saved our economy and not Clinton.(thats probably why he was able to control Clinton-lol)

The republicans of 2000have done conservatism a great disservice. They spent money like drunken sailors and basically left their conservative principles at the door of the Capitol! They bought into this "centrist" mindset that has become the downfall of the conservative movement. They were basically liberals in conservative cloths.

From spending, global warming, immigration everything except the war on terror these men and women behaved like liberals.(see Roscos post "By Ted Nugent")What did it get them? NOTHING! Did the media cut them any slack because they compromised conservative principles and allowed the government to move decidedly left? NO!Did Mccain get any credit for REALLY REACHING ACROSS THE AISLE,compromising conservatism and moving to the center?NO!

Conservative "light" or liberal "light for that matter, doesnt appeal to the vast majority of Americans.our latest election PROVES that. Contrary to popular beliefe we are STILL A CENTER RIGHT country.

So why has liberalism gained so much momentum in past years?

The RHINOS have moved left(not center) to try and gain favor from the media and constituents. When they have compromised ,it wasnt true compromise,it was leaving conservative principles out of the equasion to pass "bi-partisan" legislation,in hopes of gaining favor of the media .Hindsight tells us that this was naive to say the least! What have we gained? We have lost an election,we still have a massive illegal immigrant problem, enviromentalist and unions continue to rape American manufacturing, conventional wisdom on abortion has grown to encompass allowing a child to die without medical care after a failed abortion and our budget deficit is out of control once again.

Answer me this.....ARE THESE CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES???????

Obama won an election on the "failed policies of the past eight years"!

Liberals OWN these policies and the RHINOS(Bush,Mccain,Schwartzenegger among others) have allowed the failings of these policies to be neatly strung around the neck of conservatism!MAKE NO MISTAKE! THESE ARE LIBERAL POLICIES THAT HAVE FAILED OUR NATION!BLINDLY IMPLEMENTED BY RHINO REPUBLICANS THAT BOUGHT INTO THIS FAILED IDEA OF "CENTRIST"GOVERNMENT. There is nothing centrist about it! its liberalism propagated under the guise of "bi-partisanship"! Compromise is fine as long as it means CONSERVATIVES compromise their principles! How naive Mccain must feel now after he staked the Presidency on a career of true "bi-partisanship"? John,It wasnt bi-partisan,they duped you into leaving your conservative principles at the door of negotiation all the while telling you it would garner you respect and possibly the White House! They played you like a fiddle!

The last TRUE LANDSLIDE election in this country was won by Ronald Wilson Reagan on a platform of Americanism and TRUE CONSERVATISM! We have the template on  how to fix this country and win elections-WE JUST NEED TO STICK TO IT!

The good news is that the liberals can no longer hang the failings of their policies around conservatisms neck. They have the ball now and, regrettably, the nation will suffer for it,much as we did under Carter.I hope the republicans have a "farm team" of TRUE CONSERVATIVES that are ready to take the mantle when Obama fails us.Otherwise this nation will continue to succumb to liberalism as so many nations before us!

With the myriad of labor laws we have on the books there is NO GOOD USE for labor unions. All they do is drive prices up because of high wages and benefits. They are the biggest reason the Automobile industry is in the shape its in.If the government does bail out the Big three they need not do it without disolving the UAW!

For those of you UAW members that will disagree with me-TOO BAD! you will NEVER convince me that we cant find people to screw parts on our cars for less money and reasonable benfits!

The average UAW worker makes $105,000.00 a year when you count benefits!

No wonder we have to pay $35k for a new car!

ENOUGH!Youve priced yourself right out of the market!

I very proud to think that we have an outgoing President that is doing all he can to be sure the transfer of power will go smoothly so Obamas team "can hit the ground running".I takes me back eight years ago when the White House was vandelized and robbed by the outgoing overtly childish and partisan adminstration. How nice it is to know that all the Os will be in tact on the computer keyboards. Its also nice to know that trucks wont have to go to the ranch in Crawford and take furniture back that had been in the White House for generations.Im proud of you President Bush! Im proud when I think back that you did your best to downplay the horrible disrespect presented by the Clintons and thier ilk that were forever partisan and never stopped being in campaign/war room mode. You did this in the name of bi=partisanship and country unity.I understand that this was lost on the left just as the unprecedented disrespect for the office the Clintons displayed was.

We have but a few childish ingrates in our party.By and large we have acted with integrity and grace through this post election week. The mainstream of the left-right up to the leaders of the party cant say the same of thier behavior eight years ago.Thats them though and I take great pride in being able to point out that we simply behave better in defeat than any of them ever did.Hats off to you President Bush,I wish you well.History will judge you kindly for your decisions on Iraq,I know youve paid a dear price for keeping us safe-Thank you!

After ive read all the reactions from everyone I have a million thoughts in my head so forgive me if I ramble a bit.

The point I am trying to speak to is difference in mindset of the average liberal vs the average conservative. Ive already made very clear how I feel about how some in my party have reacted to the election results. If you look to THOSE comments you will see that they are mostly new peoepl or people that dont comments often. As the day wore on I saw the "usual gang"(reasonedright,flyovermark,gemini,2minikids,people
Im now forgetting lol and a couple new ,i assume republicans)come on here and express themselves in a very thoughtful manner. All were very graceful and reasonable in defeat.

I have see the same from the oposition but few and far between. The comments that werent overt childish gloating, were along the lines of "now we can have unity"finally.

Although I agree with that sentiment wholeheartedly,I cant erase my memory of what has been going on in the "past eight years".The first point i want to make is that you guys(the oposition)had the chance to still be Americans eight and four years ago but YOU chose to be divisive. You chose to call OUR President an idiot,a criminal,a war monger,a liar and wouldnt even CONSIDER giving him credit for his successes but were all too eager to pounce on his failings EVEN IF THE FACTS DIDNT SUPPORT YOUR CLAIMS!Now you want "unity".HmmmmmWhat exactly IS "unity" to you guys?.....Forget our conservative principles that more often than not have been to guide to sucess in our nation? Adopt your liberal principles such as throwing more and more dollars at problems while we have to turn a blind eye to the fact that it HAS DONE NO GOOD FOR THE PAST 60 YEARS?you guys have a lot of nerve to speak of "unity".

This brings me to my second point. I started to go into the difference of the philosophies of our two parties but Im learning that there is little point. As yesterday and ,oh SO many days before the election, prove,Liberals LOVE to come on here and comment when it seems appropriate to point to racism ,"war mongering",you know, generally spew liberal talking points and acuse conservatives of things that arent true and can be Proven false, the SAME EMPTY TACTIC THAT HAS SLOWLY PUSHED THIS COUNTRY TO THE LEFT SINCE THE REJECTS OF THE SIXTIES OVERTHREW THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AND GAINED POSITIONS OF POWER IN THIS COUNTRY.They could not have acheived this level of success if it had not been for a liberal media and liberal"entertainment" as a whole. When the evening news tells you EVERY night that Bush is an idiot and they ONLY play comments out of context to support thier claim, when kids grow up watching movies that Always cast the businessman as an evil person bent on destroying the enviroment or music glorifies ghetto life and turns the criminal in to a hero or victim how do we expect the sheeple to know anything different. The ONE news station that is truly unbiased has been marginalized as 'right wing" because they give you the unbiased facts.Thats what they dont like about fox,the FACTS dont support the FALSE reality that LIBERALISM FAILS US!The funny thing is,all these people that hate fox-NEVER WATCH IT! They rely on the other media sources that they are used to TELL them that fox is biased.I recently had a debate with our resident Professor, profplumb about fox.i could tell by his comments that he had never tuned in and when I gave him fact upon fact about thier ratings and bi-partisan format he simply said"he didnt believe me".This is a professor! An "educated" man that was totally unwilling to see for himself but was content believeing what Tom Brokaw and Keith Olberman TOLD him.

Back to the bloggers: Every single time the debate gets to the ACTUAL history of our country-a history that undeniably supports that liberalism has failed us miserably,or the FACTS,the facts the show you have to disconnect from reality to believe liberalism works or world history that ,oh so elequently, points out the failings on many countries that allowed themselves to succumb to liberalism......the liberal bloggers are gone! no more debate beyond ,"your obviously a racist", "your a greedy capitalist pig", or "you just want war so you can have more oil"   etc.....etc.....

I implore you......Please .....wake up!....educate yourself! turn off the evening news! Train your eye to spot liberal indoctrination in ALL media forms. You liberals worry about capitalist taking your freedom in the form of "keeping" you in abject poverty",killing the enviroment etc when you are in alliance with the true enemy. They are smart, they are cunning and they are stealing your freedom while your eye is on the wrong ball!Who sells fear to promote thier political philosophy? I know most of you will say-the evil republicans with the war on terror.Your wrong! The war on terror IS VERY REAL but its not a war we started!

The fear of capitalism, the fear for the enviroment(which is just another anti-capitalist tactic),the fear of the black man "if we dont stop keeping him down, the fear  of sexism, the fear of homophobia, the fear of poverty, the fear of "no health insurance", the list goes on

Conservatives sell FREEDOM.Wake up! this is 2008.We have the most freedom and oportunity to find sucess than any other people, past or present! it doesnt matter if your black, white, male ,female poor ,rich immigrant or national....the door is open. You HAVE oportunity. The country has seen to that! We cant expect that it guarantee your sucess but all men like Dr Martin Luther King ever wanted, was for the door to be open.Dont buy into the fear tactics of the left.Dont believe that we are a flawed nation that puts invisible obstacles in front of "certain" people to keep them down! This is the worst FEAR tactic in the world. When you chase success, you will find many failures before you suceed.Dont let them tell you its because your black or female or whatever they will try to sell you so you give up and look to THEM(the liberal wing of our government )for help. Im white,Ill admit that I probably learned this reality sooner than others may because when I found my failures in life....and I have!.......who did I have to blame? Im supposed to be the ELITE the one that doesnt need help! The deck is stacked in MY FAVOR!.....yeah right! I took hard work and dicipline! BOTTOM LINE! Work hard! Work Smart! never stop believing in your self and good things will come! But if you give up and when your disheartened you hear that its not your fault-its the evil white capitalist-you have a choice.Pich YOURSELF up or let the government fix it for you.

Has the GOVERNMENT EVER,EVER FIXED ANYTHING?   You know the answer to that.
