As terrible as the conflict is currently in the middle east there is something even more tragic that is happening there-that is the humanitarian crisis. It makes no sense now to point fingers to call who is right or wrong when the humanitarian need is so great. People are hurt and the aid must get there and cuick. Anyone and everyone who wishes peace for this troubled region must now lay aside their differences and work together in helping those hurt in this tragic conflict. It is not Impossable--the very same hands that can give a cup of cold water can also build a bridge.

Now that the elections are over the hard part is here-working together with those elected. In this Thanksgiving season one thing that I am truly thankful for is I can join with many and work for the betterment of America. It matters very litttle right now if we are Rebublican or Democrat-what matters right now is that we are all Americans. I am sure when the Mayflower set sail for America there were many who had their own views on how to run things. I am also very sure of the fact that there was one unifing thought among them: we are all on the same boat. There was little room for bickering or contention-they had to get to America in ONE piece!!!We in America basically have the same choice- now -ether work together or tear the ship apart with contention and strife. I choose to work together We still live in the greatest free nation that ever graced God's green earth. I for one am really thankful of that.

seven years ago we were attacked by a very real enemy with very real plans. Like the pearl harbor attack in 1941 this attack was planned and ruthlessly carried out. So many today are dividing into camps -pro rebublican-pro democrat To he ones who attacked us our policical partys do not matter-what matters to them is to put us under their law. We are a free nation-and soon we will vote on the next president of this great nation. We can be united on this. It is not impossible.. The enimies of our nation are watching us to see what we will do.So between now and November get informed and vote!

The rain contues to come down but the people are rising up. In any disaster there are those who respond to help-from the red cross, operation blessing, salvation army and many others. THIS is what ought to fill the newspapers and many more hearts will fill with courage and hope.

It seems right out of the middle ages but it is happening right here and now. The new dark ages are apon us! The speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi turned off the mikes and turned off the lights just before going on vacation. To their credit the Republicans carryed on to TRY to get some work done in this do nothing congress! At least vote on the issue of offshore drilling.!I would laugh but it is much to important. We must do something about the oil issue and do it soon...the future is at stake.

The Olympics are just around the corner and even now there are verious threats agenst the games. Security is at its utmost in China not only for the games but for the athletes from the differeant countries. I am inspired by the courage of the countries to compete in these games in spite of the threats. I may strongly disagree with many of the political situations in several of the countries represented at the games, but I must support the games themselves because in this athmoshere indaviduals can display what they are made of and do it promoting healthy compitition not political strife. The whole world will be watching. My hat off to the courageous athletes (espcially from free countries) who will be competing!

Now that Barack Obama pretty much wraps up the Democratic nomination he faces his biggest problem...himself. All the words of his speeches and all the backing of the Democratic party cannot make up for his lack of experance. We are not talking about just any old job here--this is the presidency of this country we are talking about. How can we trust an indavidual who has said (very openly) that he would just sit down and talk with the avowed enemies of our nation without pre-conditions?Is it no wonder that those outside our borders think that Americans are kinda crazy? It does not matter to many that the president is a Republican or a Democrat. The enimies of Liberty hate us for who we are----Free Americans. I am looking forward to see and hear the townhall meetings that are coming up. I am sure that McCain and Obama will have lots to talk about.

In this world we live in there are things that truly unite us as Americans. What is happening to Ted Kennedy is tragic and I am truly hoping for the best for him and his family. It is when things like this happen we can look past the political roadblocks that are there and wish a fellow human being well that is sick.. It matters very little if one is of one policical party or another when things like this happen. We can all hope and pray and leave it in the power that is mightyer than all of us. Best to you Ted Kennedy.

Go. Go. Go. to see this movie! When you do just make sure that you buckle your seat belts..You are in for a full throttle, action race with a message. This movie is a winner because it clearly teaches that there are some things worth fighting(and racing)for.Speed takes a very decisive stand in the beginning and the bad guys take notice. The whole movie centers around the moral courage that it takes to make a desision on values and stick with it. In the movie it seems all odds are agenst speed as he races agenst time and the bad guys but with the support of his family speed proves he has the "inner stuff" to win.Yes, there comes a time you have to fight for the stuff worth fighting for and fight to win.Speed Racer taps into this inner courage to win with his family and on the racetrack. Then invites all of us into the winners circle!

As tragic as the back to back events that hit Burma and more reciently China the bright hope is how the international community responds. As so many dedicated organizations did when the tusami hit my prayer is the same now. Burma must open up so help can get to where it is most needed! As well China must do the same for the sake of the people effected. In times like these the political barriers come down to save lives and nations. It is up to the leaders of these nations to see this and make some changes for their people and their country.

When disaster strikes...courage counters with hope and rebuilding. On this National day of prayer I thank God for all who are helping..from the Red cross, Salvation Army all the peple and churches and yes, Operation Blessing. It is in times like these when we pull together as Americans for each other and America. We still have the "stuff" and when we all pull together to help like this we show the world what a godly free people can do. God bless America!!

My favorite part in the movie the Ten Commandments is -by far-the opening of the Red Sea. After the words"Behold his mighty hand" are spoken the red sea parts-a feat still unmatched in movie history! Charlton heston was much more than a academy award winning actor. Charlton Hestion was a true American hero. He served his country in the armed forces, supported Martin luther King in civil rights and steadfastly stood for the rights of free Americans under the 2nd admendment. It is truly rare indeed that one person can have such a positive impact on this nation--and the world! rest well soldier.

In 1989 China Massacred innocent pro-democtacy demonstrators in Tianamen square. Even as the torch of the olympics is lit in Greece...another is being crushed in Tibet. No one is being fooled here. The true colors of godless communism rear their ugly head when challenged by those who dare to stand with something greater than communism burning in their hearts. Within each and everyone of us is a quality of human spirit put there by God that will never be defeated no matter how cruel it is oppressed. As I did my research for college on the Holocaust I found a bedrock truth that the survivors all share. That truth is that deep within them they had a choice that the Natzis could not take away. In Tibet right now many are making choices. The free world needs to stand with them-or else many more torches will be snuffed out.

Many still remember in 1984 when Mondale/Ferraro were running for office. Boy, I sure do!! I was on shore duty at NAS Oceana. Me and many others saw right away the National security nightmare that presidency would be. Now the power struggle continues. In making the remark that she said It proves to me very little has been changed in all these years. It is all interesting to watch but very sad that our presidential year has turned into quite a circus....plenty of clowns.
