So, in the interest of gun safety, since there's one out in the open at all times in the high chance carjack vehicle, the one with the really nice chrome wheels, I take my 17 year old princess to the bullet hole in OP on Robinson.

And I bring the Colt revolver and semi-auto 7 shot 9mm conceal and carry Kahr PM9.

And she says:   Dad, aren't you going to lock up the Ferrari, someone could mess with it.   Nah, did you forget,  everyone's packing around here.  This place never gets robbed, either!

So I tell princess:  "I'm really not trying to hold your hand or anything but just so it doesn't get away from you, since you've never shot, I really don't want you trying to hold on and shoot while you're trying to get a grip as it gets away from you."   And of course, I warn her about the flying shells coming at your eyes!  So that's what the eye protection is for, she mutters!

Yesterday, in Massachussetts.  That exact thing happened.  An 8 year old has an Uzi no less, get away from him and as he's trying to get a grip--it shoots away even more, and the weapon travels up and shoots him in the head.   Under adult supervision!   WTF!  Beer included in this outing?   Can't imagine going home to the wife after that father-son adventure.

Hmmm, stupid people and drunks should not mess with fire arms.

I always suspect there's more to these stories than what is reported.

Although not impossible to believe, it seems a bit fishy to me.

I've not shot an uzi, but I have shot a mac-10 (very similar).

Yes they will climb on you, but how it ended up getting completely turned around I'm still trying to figure out.

But who knows with all that going on, anything is possible.

What was an 8 year old doing with an Uzi???? Adult supervision or not...NOT cool! I undersand about teaching your kids at a some what early age how to shoot a gun...I myself learned young, but 8 and and Uzi???!!! Even shotguns have a powerful kick-back....geesh! Bad parenting at work once again!!!

The child was killed by the recoil of the gun, not the bullets! The force of the powerful kick back caused blunt forced trauma to his head, and that's what killed him. He was NOT shot!
I agree, the kid should never been allowed to even hold that gun let alone shoot it! But I guess the way our society is headed, kids may need to learn how to protect themselves from rappers, chiefs players, gangsters, and other worthless people in our society!

Mrschmitty - not that I don't believe you, but that seems even stranger.

I just keep smelling a rat somewhere with this story

He was killed by bullets. Pg. 3 KC Star 10/28.

"Self inflicted gunshot wound"

CNN and Fox News both corrected the original story and said it was from head trauma by the kick of the gun.

Maybe the accurate cause of death will reveal itself in time.

Using the key searchwords: Uzi, 8year boy death, brings up a cause of death by a round in the head, or self inflicted.

It was the beer. Keep telling yourselves it was the beer. Just because some Dumb A__ has the $ to buy some people killer weapon, does not mean he or she is smart enough to use it safely.
Just like voting, there should be a test before you can execute the transaction. God help us.

I have read many conflicting reports on how this child died. Some say he was shot, some say it was blunt force trauma. Who really knows!? I don't know who to believe.
