Shottenheimer, whoever he broadcasts for, predicted a Chiefs loss because of  no QB and no run defense.

The KCStar got it right, the highlight of the game was the flyover.

Jack Harry, NBC, outright called the Chiefs liars on Huard's "injury."    It took them way past the half to think of something to tell the rest of the media.

Herm panicked by taking Huard out.  He concluded they needed someone, anyone, who could try to outrun the pass rush.  3 QB's in the 1st quarter signifies panic mode.

If you don't have a QB by the 2nd game of the season, what is training camp, the draft, and preseason for?  Finding your QB off your neighbors, (Minn.) practice squad, shows how much in disarray the organization is.   The five year (20yr) plan is on target because of this.

LJ wants out because there's no offensive line and he's largely a straight up runner.  Croyle will eventually return, but any of those hits the other QB's took will surely make for a short return before the brittle one breaks again.

Jamarcus Russel  6'6" 230lbs=durability.  Passing ability needs a bit of work though.

I lost $5 because I thought Huard would play the whole game!

At least it wasn't the price of a ticket, $22.00 to park the car, and $8.00/a beer!  I don't think traffic would have been a problem because the stadium sure did clear out by mid 3rd qtr.

I agree with you. What we are seeing here is that the younger Hunt is using the Glass rule of sitting back and let the money flow in,as long as the fans are willing to pay big bucks for less that major league sports.

Hmmmmmm Atlanta up next, they're bad, but....they won a game. You may have to wait against Miami in December. That will be a prophetic game. The chiefs may be in the same position as the dolphins last year (winless) and this could be the chiefs 1st victory to ruin a perfectly good unblemished (winless) season!

Maybe I am an optimist (or slightly crazy) but I think Herm is a good coach, the problem is he has a GM who is following the idea of swap or let your best talent leave when they go free agent. Over the years KC has had some of the best players in the league, the only problem was we didn't hold on to them when they reached thier pinnacle or we fought to get them when they were on the decline.

The first game of the season, against the Patriots, with a 17 - 10 loss, said to me that KC has the potential, but the offense is lacking. (Part of the reason for such a close loss was due to the Tom Brady injury, but that is subject to another debate.)

This last game, against the Raiders, showed what we should have already known. That the Chiefs are lacking an offense and that Oakland, like always, has a very aggressive defense. (Obviously thier offense was also better, because of the outcome of the game.)

I knew that the game was a total fiasco when one of the ladies I work with didn't even talk about the game, and she is a season ticketholder and avid fan!

i've been saying it since peterson gave derrick thomas that big contract and let neil smith and dan saliamoa go. carl the BLEEP peterson needs to go. the only decent thing he's done in the last 8 yrs. was dick vermil and when he left peterson's ass should have been gone the same day. your right we've had good players the he would not hold onto. one example is joe horn. after joe left here he went to the pro-bowl. another example tony richardson according to carl too old but still the best blocking fullback in the league today.
tell me clark hunt just when are you going to get tired of riding your daddys coattails and stand up and be counted as a man as a leader in this city and yes as the owner of the chiefs. pull your head out of peterson's butt and take a good look around for just a min. or two and look at what carl is doing to this team and this town and tell me he doesn't need to be fired and if you can't see or just won't see it then go ahead and put your head back in carls butt that way you won't have to see whats going on that is if you even ever cared.

Well, this season is going to interested with the die hard fans. It appears that the Chiefs organization has struck a nerve with the fans. I here the fans saying "thet're not going to another Chiefs game, but that won't happen, because they will never get enough. No one can change this situation, especially the fans. One person can make a difference. As far as Carl, he is a lifer with the Chiefs and the fans will have to deal with it! You'll still no change in the stupid tailgating, because they love this team. I don't, never have never will. I do enjoy here the fans cry and try to find solutions to this club. Also like to here the excuses. There is no excuse for this team, NONE!

I question that Herm is a good coach, however agree that Carl is the also the problem. It looks to me that as long fans fill the seats Hunt will be like David Glass and do nothing to improve the team.

I watch them, I love them, but I may stop.. more free time on Sunday..LOL

I had some hope because they looked 'okay' playing the Patriots. Hope was dashed Sunday. Without doubt the worst game I have seen them play in years.
