Funny news report this morning about our electric company, APS.

They reported a profit of 68% or something like that.

Then they want to apply have a 6 % rate increase. (For next year)

Then Mayor Phil Gordon is trying to get aid for seniors who can't afford their electric bill.

Any thoughts on this bloggers?

With a 68% profit let APS fund the seniors that need 'help' with their bills. Thats where the mayor needs to look for aid.

APS is the wrost provider I have EVER dealt with. With 68% profit they DO NOT need a rate increase for next year because we all know that they will ASK AGAIN for another rate increase NEXT YEAR as well. They are notorious for rate increases. They tax you on top of your taxes for usage fee's billing fee's customer service fee's state fee's federal fee's fee tax, fee up your arse tax blah blah blah. NO MORE RATE INCREASES FOR APS

That's nuclear power for you at it's best. In fact John McCain has jobs waiting for you if you vote for him. He will give you a job counting how many Arizonians subsidize Big Energy through our Corporation Commission. Everytime we have a shutdown at the nuclear plant, APS goes Chaching, Chaching, mo money, money from those "average americans" who are too dumb to know they don't benefit from it because what is competitive to nuclear energy? John McCain, Jon Kyl and our Corporation Commission.

APS are a bunch of lying crooks. They know we don't have the freedom to go with another provider. Why aren't we using wind energy? There should be a wind mill in every neighborhood, then APS could take a flying leap.

This should come as no surprise, APS has a long-standing reputation for being a poorly run company. Watching them cry while asking for rate increases is actually becoming entertaining, what a complete farce.

APS SUCKS!!!! They forced a meter & rate change on me in May.
The person came out and during the meter change blew up my main power to my home and walked away. When I called APS they tell me it is my fault because my home is an older home and my responsibility to get an electrician out to repair. No help, no information who to call and left me alone in my home with no power. I called the Arizona Corporation Commission and filed a complaint and they jumped on APS and within 4 hours APS sent a repair person out to look into it and got lucky bringing my power back on for my home.
The new rates are very hard to figure out, I need a scientist to explain them too me because 5 different APS employees have been no help.
Over the past 5 years I have done everything I can to cut energy use yet my bills with less use cost more every year. APS employees always tell me it is my fault when I call.
I feel like I now live in a dark, hot cave just so I can pay the outrageous bill every month that I get.
Everyone needs to call the Arizona Corporation Commission and file a complaint against APS every time they feel the need to increase their revenue from our pockets!
In the meantime I am saving to go Solar/Wind and cut them out of my life!
And Mayor Gordon needs to actually educate himself that there is Federal Energy discounts for low income and Elderly people as well as City of Phoenix and Charitable services that can help people in need to pay utility bills. WAKE UP PHIL!

APS asks for a rate increase every 3 months hoping one gets by and approved by the corporate commision.
