written by a former soldier. New Direction for the war on
Terrorists.

 Send Service Vets over 60.....

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to
 track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to
 join the military. They've got the whole thing
 backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight,
 they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able
 to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

 For starters:

 Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10
 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a
 day, leaving us more than 28,000 additional seconds per day
 to concentrate on the enemy.

 Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and
 a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back
 hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry.'
 We are impatient; and maybe letting us kill some a--hole
 that desperately deserves it will make us feel better, and
 shut us up for a while.

An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10
 a.m. Old guys always get up early to pee; so what the hell.
 Besides, like I said, 'I'm tired, can't sleep,
 and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing
 some fanatical S-O-B.

 If captured, we couldn't spill the beans because
 we'd forget where we put them In fact, name, rank, and
 serial number would be a real brainteaser.

 Boot camp would be easier for old guys. We're used to
 getting screamed and yelled at, and we're used to soft
 food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns.
 We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out
of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.

 They could lighten up on the obstacle course, however.
 I've been in combat and didn't see a single 20-foot
wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any
 push-ups after completing basic training. I can hear the
Drill Sgt. In the 'Our New Marine Corp' now,
'Get down and give me ... ER .. One.'

 Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy,
 too. I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

 An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's
 still learning to shave, to start up a conversation with a
 pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a
 baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of
 his head.

 These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to
 learn a little more about life before sending them off into
 harm's way.

Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward
 terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see right
 now is a couple of million BLEEPed-off old farts with
 'attitude' and automatic weapons who know that
 their best years are already behind them.

 If nothing else, put us on border patrol....we will have it
secured the first night!

I am posting this question to all of you political minded folks out there. I read these posts and suddenly started thinking about being Liberal, Conservative, to the left or to the right.

 

I have come to the conclusion that I don’t think I know what this really means. 

 

When I vote in elections, I read all I can about a candidate and decide if he/she is going the direction ‘I’ think is right. 

 

I guess I don’t really care if they are left, right or whatever. But maybe I should understand better.

 

Could you smart people out there give me some example of current politico’s that are left, right, conservative or liberal.

 

 

I didn’t get into this politics thing until I was 50..didn’t care. Now I do.  I don’t need a kindergarten primer, but recommended books would work too.

Yesterday afternoon around 4:00 we were on our way home from an outing and all of a sudden a guy on a bike went by us so fast I barely saw him. He had to have been going at least 90 miles an hour. Leaning way over the way you see motorcyle racers do when they turn around the track as he wove in and out of the traffic. I gotta tell you, I was stunned. Within a minute or less, you couldn't see him anymore.

I do not understand why people drive like this, if he would have hit a pebble or a car changed lanes abruptly, there is no way he would have been able to stop or control his bike. He would have been dead. 

Motorcycle guy...SLOW DOWN!!!!

I heard on the news this morning that voter turnout is expected to be 15%.... 

Vote today, just vote!!!!!!!

I was looking at myfoxny yesterday and came across a blog about a cabbie that was crusing a business woman to 'somewhere'. The fare was 10.70 and she gave him a 30 cent tip. Turns out she left 2 cases of diamond rings in the cab. The cabbie made an effort to find her and return them.

It was funny reading what New Yorkers thought about him returning the rings. 

Go check it out if you want, but what would you do?

I have never seen an offensive performance by the Chiefs like the one they showed yesterday..the few minutes they were on the field.
NO FIRST downs in the first half!!!! NONE. WOW. Trent still plays. Just how much does a guy have to falter before Herm does what he said he would do??

The Defence showed up to play, its to bad they were on the field practically the whole 60 minutes. I have to salute those guys.

Okay...the stars all lined up and the impossible happened yesterday!! The Chiefs get to go to play the colts next Saturday. WOW, I for one am excited. Lamar had to be guiding the day...I was amazed, were you? Now for the Chiefs moving to the next round, well, we will see!!! Happy New Year Everyone!!!

People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now. As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the Arab/Muslim terrorist.

How do I differentiate between the true Arab/Muslim-Americans and the Arab/Muslims in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR constitution, while they plot the next attack that will slaughter these same good neighbors and children? The events of September 11th changed the answer. It is not my responsibility to deter mine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL of its
different citizens, with all of its faults. It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country to determine it for me.

No more benign overtures of condemnation for the unprovoked attacks because I worry about what is unprovoked to you. I am not interested in any more sympathy. I am only interested in action. What will you do for America - our great country -- at this time of crisis, at this time of war?

I want to see Arab-Muslims waving the AMERICAN flag in the streets.
I want to hear you chanting "Allah Bless America " I want to see young Arab/Muslim men enlisti ng in the military. I want to see a commitment of money, time, and emotion to the victims of this butchering and to this nation as a whole. The FBI has a list of over 400 people they want to
talk to regarding the WTC attack. Many of these people live and socialize in Muslim communities. You know them. You know where they are. Hand them over to us, now! But I have seen little even approaching this sort of action.
Instead I have seen an already closed and secretive community close even tighter. You have disappeared from the streets. You have posted armed security guards at your facilities. You have threatened lawsuits. You have screamed for protection from reprisals.

The very few Arab/Muslim representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive and equivocating. They seemed more concerned with making sure that the United States proves who was responsible before taking action. They seemed more concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence directed towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with supporting our country and denouncing "leaders"
like Khadafi, Hussein, Farrakhan, and Arafat.

If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and peace and love for all people then I want chapter and verse from the Koran and statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up. What good is it if the teachings in the Koran are good and pure and true when your "leaders" are teaching fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and intolerance?

It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if large numbers of the world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly and adhere to a degenerative form of the religion. A form that has been demonstrated to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon a foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose members are
> recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose members (some as young as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week out, year after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning effigies of our presidents, burning the American flag, shooting weapons into the air. A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to take up arms against the great United States of America, the country of their birth. A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling members refuse to show their faces at airport security checkpoints, in the name of Islam.> Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because our women proudly

If so, I want you to leave. I want you to go back to your desert sandpit where women are treated like rats and dogs. I want you to take your religion, your friends, and your family back to your Islamic extremists, and STAY
THERE! We will NEVER give in to your influence, your retarded mentality, your twisted, violent, intolerant religion. We will NEVER allow the attacks of September 11, or any others for that matter, to take away that which is so precious to us: Our rights under the greatest constitution
in the world. I want to know where every Arab/ Muslim in this country stands and I think it is my right and the right of every true citizen of this country to demand it. A right paid for by the blood of thousands of my
