Ever scince the Great Depression, inaugurations seem to have been made to create an effect that there's some sort of cleansing effect that goes with installing a new President. From Rosevelt to Bush, and now to Obama, every time a new President took office there was the "feel good" uphoria followed by the dreaded first 100 days in office critique of his job performance. This will be more prevalent for President Obama than any President in nearly a century. In someways it might be kind of unfair. America will come to expect Obama to institute massive albeit noticable changes to the current economic and world affairs problems as early as his first 100 days. One thing is certain, technology has increased more scince 2001-09 is greater than 1981-2001. For President Obama there may never be just a middle ground, or avarage performance as President during his 4 years, if the economy worsens into a mini or full fleged depression the media will blame him, if the economy does a noticable but fairly quick turn around they'll lump him in with the likes of lincoln or rosevelt. At any rate This is his Presidency, it is his to suceed or fail in to a one hit wonder with no legacy to leave behind.

The bailout of 350 billion has been more of the biggest waste of tax payer money in recent memory than anything else. Just like humanitarian aid to countries with starving children going mostly to the evil regimes that run them, the first half of the tarp went to the banks and not to the people in the form of lessening credit restrictions and so-on, banks used alot of it to buy each other out, and pay their exec's and go on vacations. Mean while businesses are still going under, jobs are still being lost. When are the American people going to benefit from the assistance that was originally designed to help them?
will the next 350 billion still go to the filthy rich while we the people get to herald in the 2nd depression in 80 years? what a waste!!

Sooooooo what happens next? do we keep Herm? do we keep "L.J"?
i gotta believe that Scott Pioli will do some coaching and player changes, if he can to with the Chiefs like he did in new england then 2009 will be something to look forward too. If i were herm i might just brush up on the 'ol resume, as for "L.J." there's always bartending.

Cudo's to Clark Hunt, your father would be proud of your G.M. pick, thank God Carl Peterson did'nt get to pick his sucessor or we'd have gotten Matt Millen from the Lions, and we all know where that would lead.

I can remember in the early 1980's, America being called " the great satan". As a young Soldier this was then, and is still today, the quintesential pot calling the kettle black. I wonder who "satan" would be more proud of,
(A) people who use women and children as human shields, who bomb out of existance churches and mosques and market places with no more regard for human life than stepping on a cockroach, people who announce "holy wars" designed to exterminate whole societies and/or races, pepole who fly jumbo jets in to buildings, who call for the death of anyone who even hints at mocking their "founder", but tthreatens the leader of other religions, people who issue death sentances to anyone holding anyother book other than their own, and heres the ironic part, the extermination of jews and christians is top priority on their list, or
(B) would satan be proud of any one who stops them I.E, America/Israel and other nations who war against terror. I think the answer is obvious.
Scince they are so eager to die for their "God", why not give 'em a 500 megaton bomb, and just pull the pin.

While i do not condone the killing of innocent men, women and most important, children, i think hamas, or hezbolah or any extremist organization live to just as much a double standard as their "enemies". Militants have no problem strapping bombs to themselves or even women and children, and in the name of their "god", blow themselves up in an area crowded with women and children, but if they get hit by enemy fire then all of a sudden it's an atrocity. I guess the greater consensus and not mine is that israel is supposed to just sit back and let hamas fire rockets at them
My point is this, if you want to blow your self up all in the name of "God" and take other people with you, don't cry and complain if we get to you first and, lets say, "help you get there quicker"

Leemee see, Shanahan wins 2 superbowls, numerous playoff apperances, and yes he's responsible for the biggest collapse of a division lead todate, but he still won more games than Herm ever has as a player, coach and head coach combined. Shanahan has won more playoff game than herm has won games, yet he's fired and herm is still here? Thank God herm was'nt the coach of denver, he'd get arrested for "impersonating a high ranking official"

You know you're a bad football team, with no finishing power when if you were to "throw" a game you might actually win one.

Cudo's to Herm Edwards, a great football player in his day!!! cudo's to Herm because he is the only Chiefs coach to coach a G.M out of his job, before loosing his job. Now lets see if the chiefs wind up hiring a David Glass looser gm from the royals to fill king carl's shoes.
Looking forward to the '29 chiefs, thats right, 2029

In tribute to carl Peterson:
nah, nah, nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah hey, hey,hey GOODBYE!!!!
He may have had his day, helping the chiefs to some winning seasons, but 3 seasons as the number one or 2 seed and still no playoff wins (95,97,03). The last superbowl apperance coming when the Mary Tyler Moore show debut on tv, and Apollo 13 still on the launch pad, i think it's way more than time for methuselah to go. Hopefully Clark Hunt inherited his dads' touch and the team gets a suitable replacement.

In their first meeting with the chargers, the chiefs went for the loss and got it . this time they went for the win and gave it, to the chargers. maybe hockey should come to kansas, after all if the chiefs play just three periods like in hockey, they could be 8-6 already.
