Does any one know when and where the tea party is to be held? I know it is the 15th of April but exactly where and what time do we all meet as several of us want to join in the march for freedom of over taxation and the move to socialism. If anyone has the time and place I would love to know. Thank you all for your help.

Commentary by Betsy McCaugheyFeb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Republican Senators are questioning whether President Barack Obama's stimulus bill contains the right mix of tax breaks and cash infusions to jump-start the economy. Tragically, no one from either party is objecting to the health provisions slipped in without discussion. These provisions reflect the handiwork of Tom Daschle, until recently the nominee to head the Health and Human Services Department. Senators should read these provisions and vote against them because they are dangerous to your health. (Page numbers refer to H.R. 1 EH, pdf version).

The bill's health rules will affect "every individual in the United States" (445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors. But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and "guide" your doctor's decisions (442, 446). These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, "Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis."

According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and "learn to operate less like solo practitioners." Keeping doctors informed of the newest medical findings is important, but enforcing uniformity goes too far. New Penalties Hospitals and doctors that are not "meaningful users" of the new system will face penalties. "Meaningful user" isn't defined in the bill. That will be left to the HHS secretary, who will be empowered to impose "more stringent measures of meaningful use over time" (511, 518, 540-541) What penalties will deter your doctor from going beyond the electronically delivered protocols when your condition is atypical or you need an experimental treatment?

The vagueness is intentional. In his book, Daschle proposed an appointed body with vast powers to make the "tough" decisions elected politicians won't make. The stimulus bill does that, and calls it the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research (190-192). The goal, Daschle's book explained, is to slow the development and use of new medications and technologies because they are driving up costs. He praises Europeans for being more willing to accept "hopeless diagnoses" and "forgo experimental treatments," and he chastises Americans for expecting too much from the health-care system.

Elderly Hardest Hit Daschle says health-care reform "will not be pain free." Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt. Medicare now pays for treatments deemed safe and effective. The stimulus bill would change that and apply a cost- effectiveness standard set by the Federal Council (464). The Federal Council is modeled after a U.K. board discussed in Daschle's book. This board approves or rejects treatments using a formula that divides the cost of the treatment by the number of years the patient is likely to benefit. Treatments for younger patients are more often approved than treatments for diseases that affect the elderly, such as osteoporosis. In 2006, a U.K. health board decreed that elderly patients with macular degeneration had to wait until they went blind in one eye before they could get a costly new drug to save the other eye.

It took almost three years of public protests before the board reversed its decision. Hidden Provisions If the Obama administration's economic stimulus bill passes the Senate in its current form, seniors in the U.S. will face similar rationing. Defenders of the system say that individuals benefit in younger years and sacrifice later. The stimulus bill will affect every part of health care, from medical and nursing education, to how patients are treated and how much hospitals get paid.

The bill allocates more funding for this bureaucracy than for the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force combined (90-92, 174-177, 181). Hiding health legislation in a stimulus bill is intentional. Daschle supported the Clinton administration's health-care overhaul in 1994, and attributed its failure to debate and delay. A year ago, Daschle wrote that the next president should act quickly before critics mount an opposition. "If that means attaching a health-care plan to the federal budget, so be it," he said. "The issue is too important to be stalled by Senate protocol."

More Scrutiny Needed On Friday, President Obama called it "inexcusable and irresponsible" for senators to delay passing the stimulus bill. In truth, this bill needs more scrutiny. The health-care industry is the largest employer in the U.S. It produces almost 17 percent of the nation's gross domestic product. Yet the bill treats health care the way European governments do: as a cost problem instead of a growth industry. Imagine limiting growth and innovation in the electronics or auto industry during this downturn. This stimulus is dangerous to your health and the economy. Have you ever wondered why they can not be posted in public building? Think about it, Thou shall not commit adultry, steal, bear false witness, Etc. If this was posted in say Congressional buildings, court houses, or the White House there would be a hostile work enviorment created as it seems elected officials, lawyers, and such do it all and think it is just fine. But where it would really offend would be the media and Hollywood.

The Ten Commandments do not have anything in them that would destroy morals or bring harm to anyone but you can not say that about any of the  occupations listed above. Most of the people who work there practice breaking all of the commandments and do not want to be reminded that they do almost if not daily. These same people have no problem trotting out outhers sins while crying like a baby when theirs are exposed.

Yeap, I can see why the big Ten would offend alot of people. It is hard to have your sins in your face everyday. No one wants to be reminded they are crooks, cheats or dishonest. So I understand why they can not be posted and hope this helps clearify the real reason they are not posted. The one they use is just bunk.

Nite all and God Bless.

I have to say that I believe Bush has been given super human powers to control history from the begining of Carter's term until the end of Obama's. He forced a democratic congress all them years ago to create Fannie and Freddie, then to pass laws forcing lending agencies to make bad loans not one but twice before he even made office. He forced congress to ignore his request to reign them in before all this came about because he really wanted to bring about world destruction.

He blocked the terrorist from ever attacking our nation again so Obama could set them free as soon as he was elected. and he will be making congress and Obama continue to screw up for the next 4 years all to reach the ends he wants. Yes, he was granted supper powers and we all need to kneel down in awe at his greatness. Even the liberal media attributes these great powers to him as well as congress and most democrats. So we know he has them. After all he has the power to destroy cities, states, steal election, and destroy the economy. He can control minds and I bet he can walk on water if need be.

He controls the storms and the diffrent states elected officials making them bow to his whims and refuse aid when it is offered with his mind control. He is more powerful than any man ever created, (with exception of Jesus), so we should not look upon Obama as our savior but at Bush as it is already being said how he has formed the destenation of the lesser man.

Yes he is mighty.

Nite all and God bless....( should I also add Bush bless?)

This is the script given to my hubby to help him sleep. He has been ill for a few years now and has a hard time sleeping as his body aches all over at times to the point he can not get any comfort.

Trazodone:

Before taking trazodone, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have bipolar disorder (manic depression), schizophrenia or other psychiatric illness, a history of drug abuse or suicidal thoughts, or if you have recently had a heart attack.

What are the possible side effects of trazodone?

Stop taking trazodone and call your doctor at once if you have an erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer. This is a medical emergency and could lead to a serious condition that must be corrected with surgery.

emt Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Call your doctor at once if you have any new or worsening symptoms such as: mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperactive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself.

emt Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
  • feeling light-headed, fainting;
  • fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms; or
  • chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling; or
  • problems with urination.

Less serious side effects may be more likely to occur, such as:

  • dizziness or drowsiness;
  • headache;
  • sleep problems (insomnia);
  • dry mouth, stuffy nose;
  • nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite;
  • diarrhea or constipation;
  • muscle pain;
  • loss of coordination; or
  • blurred vision.

Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Note insomnia is a possible side effect. So if any of these side effects do happen he just adds more to the already aches and pains he suffers daily.

At first we laughed at the first one and some of the others. He has been too ill to think of any relationship with me or anyone else and just the idea was humorous but then we read the rest and wondered what happened to good old fashion sleeping pills. You take one and go to sleep. Insurance companies. The insurance companies wont cover them unless all other pills fail. So you get anti-depressants that are not recomended for really depressed people. Luckily he has not had a heart attack yet nor any of the other problems the drug is not recomended for but who knows he may have before he gets a good nights sleep.

Go figure.

Nite all and God bless.

Been reading up on the beginning of welfare and what it was intended to do. As it is a socilistic program it goes without saying it does not work. It was voted in under FDR in 1935, Dems held the congress, and was meant to help the many poor during the depression. I think it started as a great idea but without thinking ahead to peoples greed for something for nothing. Then in the 1960's under Kennedy they passed laws to reform welfare and start new programs as we see today. These changes came about during the Dems watch.

One of the new laws was that families: being a mother, father, and children, could not get benifits if the father was in the home. So we had the father, bread winner then, lose his job and in order to help his family he moved out. He did this to keep his children from becoming homeless and starving. It then became aparent that women could get more money if they had more children and no husband. They could get money, food, housing and not work a day for it.

So welfare in it's beginning was meant to help a family get back on their feet then it became a way of life where more and more single parent homes began to take root and go generation after generation on the system as a father could not be living in the home to get the free ride. The one thing it was created to do it has failed at. It has not helped ease some of the poverty in our country but created more along with a higher crime rate.

Sad to say is that 70% of criminals come from single parent homes. It isn't because the parent does not try to raise their children right, it is because poverty creates anger and hand outs create the belief some one owes you. There are few parents who want a child to end up in prison. Yet this is a fact.

So we have a socialistic program that has undermined the family as we once knew it and created single parents who rely on handouts to survive and are happy to do so. Maybe the reform should be only dual family homes with both parents can recieve benifits and parents with children who have babies out of wedlock should take on the responsibility of raising them. Maybe more parents would push for birth control. Maybe adoption should be easier and maybe we should wake up and see that socialism does not work.

Poverty is not something we can "BAILOUT" but something that the community should work on. We can do something about it but the government can't. We, as neighbors and families, know who use the system and who needs short term help over a hump. The government has shown they have no idea how to run their own offices much less welfare or our lifes. They have made a huge mess trying to.

I am not saying end it all but reform is needed and will be needed more now than ever. I am saying we need to stop the people on the system who work under the table and collect benifits they do not deserve. Stop allowing people on section 8 housing rent out rooms while the rest of us pay for them to do just that. We need to force people to get trained to work and we need the government to get out of businesses and our lifes. So far they have screwed up everything they touched.

Nite all and God Bless

A cow tax? Now we’ve heard it all.

The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing a tax on farm animals because they emit enough greenhouse gases to violate the letter of the Clean Air Act.

It could cost farmers as much as $175 per dairy cow, $87.50 per head of beef cattle and $20 per pig. It could cost the state dairy industry a crippling $110 million a year. If it goes through it won’t be a matter of if farms start shutting down, but only a matter of when.

Furthermore, it’s not as if the tax is going to deter the livestock from producing any more or any less methane gas. It’s not the same as throwing a new tax at the buyer of a Hummer, which only gets six miles a gallon, in an effort to get more fuel efficient cars on the road. It’s also not the same as forcing coal-fired power plants to install infrastructure to limit the amount of pollution they spew into the atmosphere on a daily basis — pollution that is potent enough to have killed off nearly every lake in the Adirondacks.

The EPA may well be cracking down on those entities and enough livestock together may emit enough methane to cross the threshold of violating the Clean Air Act, especially in an era of factory farming, but there has to be some common sense here.

We understand that farm animals pose a significant threat to the health of the environment, with some scientists saying they account for as much as 20 percent of the global emissions of methane, a greenhouse gas that is, volume for volume, 23 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

We shouldn’t overlook the spirit of the law, which is to reduce the emission of greenhouse gas, particularly from the large factory farms. The goal shouldn’t be merely levying a punitive tax on every farmer regardless of the size of their herd. The answer will have to come from other sources, such as better regulation of farming practices.

The EPA should take a step back, use just a little common sense and abandon the idea of a cow tax.

Nite all and God bless

So now congress is wanting to tax each cow, pig, horse, etc that a farmer has due to the polution it puts out. O.K. think this threw, this is a tax on the working farmers, not the ones congress is paying to sit on their butts, but the few, I believe there are 120 million left, who actually are trying to make a living and scrimp by. These are the people who provide our meat and milk for the market.

Now we have oil prices shooting up, due to the security the world feels that we will not be drilling for our own, which will effect the cost of all our food including meats, and as a topper the Dems want to lay a tax on every animal raised to feed us. But you must remember they did get to work this week and pass themselfs a nice pay raise at a time they are spending like there is no tomorrow.

We all wondered where they would get the money. Now you know, they will end up taxing every breath we take before long and more on the few who do not brush as they will be adding even more polution in our world. When do they stop? At what point do we wake up and smell the tax craze going on?

They used global warming as a threat for their agenda and now the word is, as predicted, headed back to the ice age. Be prepared, we will soon pay a tax on top of a tax to heat our homes. 50% more on gas, a tax on farm animals, and they want to take your 401K's, raise taxes on capital gains, the top 5% of the nation,  inheritance taxes, and the list goes on. Just how much are they spending and when did they earn a pay raise as that is the only thing they have done this year that benifited anyone. Unfortunatly it was them it helped. This is the congress whose call to fame is they do nothing.

We can now change that do nothing to spend, spend, spend and tax on top of tax. And you were told Dems were for the little guy. Which one? Not the one working with a 401k, not the farmer, not the small business owner, not the plumber, electrition, nor the construction worker as all of them will be paying for the taxes and losing their 401k's. So just who are they for? All of us, 100% will be paying higher gas and food cost as well as social security and where will we be? Jobless and taxed to death. Enjoy that tax break, as you will be paying a high cost for it and once you have no job you have no tax break, unless they tax your unemployment, then you may get one.

Nite all, God bless and keep you safe.

Now some of us think that a raise in gas tax will be a good thing but have we all thought this threw? I am talking about who it will effect and how and to what extent? Have we looked at all sides of this 50% raise and the GPS tracking they want to use to track the people who use the most gas to add more taxes on them. We need to take a real close look at all sides of this great idea and then we can judge just how great an idea this will be.

First who will be effected by the tax? Well all of us but some more than others. The more than others would be truckers with long hauls, construction workers, farmers ( with the use of farm equipment and shipping their products), stores to buy the products being shipped to them and finally us. We have to buy the products being shipped by the people the government wants to increase taxes on.

So the truth about the gas tax is it will effect the cost of gas, as we watch it start to go up again, the cost of food, clothing, housing, toys, everything we use in our lifes will go up in cost as it all revolves around how much it will cost to produce then ship or market.

Let's go back to the fact that the very people who want this tax increase are the ones who want us to use less gas, yet they still go on vacations and travel from DC to their home states as they see fit, while most of us have no means to go to the local camp ground. Now they have learned that by cutting the use of gas as much as we have they have lost millions in revenue. Gees go figure. The Feds lost heavily as their tax is higher than what the oil companies make per gallon, the states have lost, the cities have lost, and now they want to solve the problem they created by taxing all of us.

So the plan to cut back on gas use did not work out as planned, but how could it with the new federal spending and the 1.5  trillion on the horizon they plan to spend. So now they spew the tax cut, big deal as the tax on gas will more than make up for  one that is now down to $30,000.00 and below. So we have a government who is not only short sighted but dumber than a mud slide in winter at the north pole.

We need to consider that the Fed tax is 18.4 cents on the dollar now while the oil company gets 4 cents. The Feds want 24.4 cents  which puts them at 20 cents more than the oil companies and you know what profits the oil companies are making after expenses so where does the fed spent the 14 cents over the oil companies now. Think about it, that is some kind of profit there. We have screamed about the oil companies profits yet we have not paid attention to the fed profits.

Then we have to deal with the stimulus checks, do you really want them? If you recieved one for $1,500 last year and claim it, as you need to, on your tax return you are now out $2,500 for that tid bit of a hand out. So we have the feds collecting coming and going and promising the moon. The truth is nothing is free and big government will cost every man woman and child in America the problem is just how much will it all cost in the end. We can start with the gas tax, then add the fat tax, and just for good messure the stimulus hidden tax. Will it ever end?

Hell-o liberal, democratic government, tax and spend then tax some more.

Nite all, and God bless us one and all as we will need it in the coming years.

I watched that movie, "The Note", and was reminded of when my father passed away when I was 13 years old. He was a minister and only wanted the small churches in the country. He loved working with people who worked hard and lived harder. He spent hours driving from one ranch to another when people were ill. He helped hunt the big cats that were killing their cattle, and he help gather the cattle and brand them. He preached on Sunday and Wensday and the rest of the week he would just visit the sick and help where needed. He was big on repecting others and never bringing shame on your name.

 He used to make me watch the elderly parents of some of the people so they could go to church once in a while. I hated it at first then I started listening to them talk. They had such storied to tell. They lived in a time before cars and electric and before T.V. and their bathrooms were outhouses. They had hard winters and rough lifes but they enjoyed it while they lived it. They lived threw the depression and so did their children.

One elderly woman use to paint and she had me pull a bunch of pictures she had painted as a child out. They were beautiful, and as I looked threw them she told me what each one was about and when she had painted them. They were history on canvas. That was the moment I became interested in art. To this day I paint and when I am gone I will be leaving history behind me as well. Remembering what he did for others as well as for us made me think of what we all leave behind once we are gone. How much have we done for others without expecting to get something in return?

At this time of year it is good to remember a time when, sometimes not willingly, I was taught that giving a little of my time could bring me much more than I was giving. That no matter how rough life can become there was a time when cell phones, cable T.V. , indoor plumbing, and electric were a dream and people lived happily without them. There was a time when they chopped wood for heat and ate what they hunted or grew. They survived. The world has progressed and in doing so the elderly are put in homes with no one to listen to their tales of older days and outhouses are portable now.

The thing is, I loved my dad and he love all of us. He gave us memories and built a fondation to grow on. He taught me that to give freely is a blessing not only on the person recieving but on me more so. He has been gone now for many years. He never saw his grandchildren nor his great grandchildren, but he did leave them a bit of history. What he taught all of us has been passed on to them. He gave us the ability to love others, and to see that no one is perfect, no one is the same and everyone should be treated with respect no matter who they are or how much they have. Because those with the less usually give the most. They are the ones that give the last dollar they have not $100. of the thousands they have.

Sometimes the less is the most and the most the less. So at this time of the year it is nice to be reminded that to give to those with less can be more rewarding than recieving. But most of all to respect others no matter what they look like, what they believe in or how they think. That being diffrent is alright, and being poor is not a sin, nor a shame. It is not what you have but the type of person you are that matters. After all it is your name that you will have from birth till death and that is the one thing that should never bring you shame. Everything else will come and go but your name will always be with you.

Nite all, Merry Christmas and God bless.

It's bad enough the congress is bailing out everyone but the little guy who pays their paychecks, then gives  themselfs a raise but to give $225 million to billionare Richard Branson for his "Spaceport America" in New Mexico, and $18 million to the Navada Museum in LosVegas and $550,000. to conserve pheasants in ILL, and $142,000 to license massage palors for animals in Washinton State.

We all know that there are so many more valued projects to spend our taxes on than OUR JOBS, and homes. God knows those dogs and cats need a day at the spa before you need your paycheck. Yeap if you go down the list of priorities our pay checks are some where down at the bottom below the National Mule and Packers museum in Bishop Calf.

Then you look at all the other little donation of tax payers money they hand out and you wont see one dime on a check made out to the company you work for as it shuts it's door and you go jobless, nor will you see a check in the mail to pay your bills from the same worthless congress who has done nothing for the last year and half but give tax payers money out like they earned it.

But what the heck, we all know there are jobs worth saving and jobs that are worthless and we have seen which ones Congress values. Guess what, the jobs are not yours or mine. Go figure. So yeapers it is time for change alright, real change and it needs to be every person in congress who has handed out our tax money as if it were theirs to waiste and any other political figure who thinks their wants superceeds ours.

Nite all, Merry Christmas and God bless.

Ok, now this is true and kinda sad. I have a pure bred rat terrier and a mutt as most of you know. Now I know what breed Mouse is, he is the rat terrier and suppose to be bred to hunt and kill rodents. That is what his breed was created for. Then I have Mickey who is a mutt and I  am not sure what he has in him. I suspect hound as he bays and having been raised with bluetick hounds I know that sound fairly well.

Now Mouse, he never chases, hunts nor kills a rodent. He basicly ignores them, (except for squerrils which he plays with), which one might think he would as that is why he was bred. His job in life more or less. But no he does not show the least intrest in doing his job. Where as Mickey, who God alone knows what he was bred for, takes great pleasure in hunting down and bringing me all the little rodents he can catch.

Living in the country we get field mice in the winter and out comes the traps and now Mickey. He is quite good at catching the little rodents. He kills the grown ones but the tiny baby ones he isn't sure what to do with them. He just corners them and bays until I come and dispose of them. Mouse sits and watches with intrest but he is not going to hunt, much less catch one for anyone. Now that is sad. A dog bred to hunt and kill rodents just sits back and watches while the one who is really too big for mouse hunting does just that.

Mouse

Mickey

Now I would really love to know why a dog that should be catching rodents does not and the one who should not does. It's bad enough that one dog teaches the other his bad habits while niether teaches the other thier good habits. Now they are confused as to what they should or should not be doing.

As you can see the little dog gets the big bed while the big dog gets the carpet. They are both suffering from issues of who is what. Mouse thinks like a great dane and Mickey thinks like a chicken. Mouse will chew a leg off anyone he feels is tresspassing while Mickey runs for cover just in case they are dangerous. They are a mess. Now I have the rodent thing going. You live and you learn.

Dogs are like people I guess. The ones you expect to turn out one way end up the other. Strange as it may seem. So what do you do? You just sit back and hope Mickey shames Mouse into doing his job. But I don't think it will happen. After all mouse wieghs in at 11 lbs and Mickey a close 40 lbs and you see who ends up in the bed.

Well how do you like that, no tax cuts, health care is out with the amount of money being passed around like cheese and crackers. And now we hear the Pres elect really is a closet smoker with wife. How do you like that? So what kind of person even lies about smoking? Gees, either you do or you do not but why lie? It isn't illegal to smoke yet.

What can you say? Now the White House will have smokers and if you ever visited a house where people smoke you know that is just not cool. Say it aint so Joe,  say the man did not lie about something as silly as smoking. Now that is too dumb. Gosh and to think I am tring to stop smoking. I went from 2 packs a day to 2 and a half cigs a day working my way to no cigs a day one at a time but I would never lie about it.

I do not get why anyone would lie about smoking. But then there have been alot of lies going on so what is one more. Puts a new light on smokers now. They have the BO to look up to. I love it.

Nite all, Merry Christmas and God bless
