Say It Aint So Joe, Pres Elect Smokes?

Well how do you like that, no tax cuts, health care is out with the amount of money being passed around like cheese and crackers. And now we hear the Pres elect really is a closet smoker with wife. How do you like that? So what kind of person even lies about smoking? Gees, either you do or you do not but why lie? It isn't illegal to smoke yet.

What can you say? Now the White House will have smokers and if you ever visited a house where people smoke you know that is just not cool. Say it aint so Joe,  say the man did not lie about something as silly as smoking. Now that is too dumb. Gosh and to think I am tring to stop smoking. I went from 2 packs a day to 2 and a half cigs a day working my way to no cigs a day one at a time but I would never lie about it.

I do not get why anyone would lie about smoking. But then there have been alot of lies going on so what is one more. Puts a new light on smokers now. They have the BO to look up to. I love it.

Depends on what your smoking, some remove the tabacco and replace it with coke, pot????????

I never heard him lie about it, he just never really talked about it before. Too bad I can't pull my vote now...

He has already said that there will be NO smoking in the Whitehouse.

No, it was said that the wife made him stop smoking to further his political career. And he said it. Now he says he smokes and needs a designated area to smoke in. So what else has he stopped doing but not really, just so he could get elected?

I never heard him lie about it, just not something that he talked about. Anyway, with everything going to h*ll in the US, I can't see this as being an issue.

It is called satire. As for not saying it or saying it, it was BO who said his wife made him stop smoking for his political career and it was his wife who said she made him stop smoking for his political career, and it is the humor of the whole thing. Why lie, try to hide, or even pretend not to? What kind of dumb is that?

Not that I am defending him, I don't like him, but he said that he quit but has fallen off the wagon a few times during the campaign, and even so, who cares.

If I remember correctly, the press made an issue of this back before the Democratic primary in New Hampshire - this fact was never hidden. At that time, I actually thought very highly of him for being upfront about it.

Non-issue, he will probably hang with the staff in the designated smoking area...might build some good rapport with his team.

I actually figured Obama's smoking would kill his campaign, but ya'll still voted for him. (tee hee - maybe he'll repeal all those non-smoking ordinances, so small tavern owners have a chance to save their businesses).

I find it silly to have been brought up in the first place. It should of never been mentioned much less stated if he did or did not. Then no one would of cared one way or the other. It is just a pebble in a pond thing.

What's really funny is that it was hillbillary that banned smoking in the white house. Probably in reaction to the cigar incident with Bill.

Cracks me up he has to live with his own nazi-ism now.

I'm picturing him standing out in the cold in the back yard of the half-white house now lighting up.

And vision I doubt he's smoking any green. If he did he sure wouldn't want to be president. Not worth the hassle you know. It's more fun to just watch spongebob all afternoon.

I am a reformed democrat now republican and mother of 5, have 10 grandchildren and 2 greatgrand child. I have lived all over the US and love to sit on docks and fish. Waiting for the big one. I love my family and a good joke, reading and painting. My siblings all think I need to be taken care of as do my children and I'm the oldest so don't know why. I watch Fox 4 News because you are about the fairest all around on T.V.
