Queen Michelle's $450Snack

October 18, 2008

Lobster, Caviar, Champagne:

Snack for a Humble Public Servant, or a Queen?

Official Campaign Travel Expense?

While husband Barack was in a meeting - no doubt discussing how to degrade and taunt Joe-the-Plumber while defending himself from accusations of socialism and elitism - Michelle Obama got hungry. She ordered a 4pm snack from Waldorf Astoria Room Service consisting of lobster hors d'oeuvres, two whole steamed lobsters, Iranian caviar and champagne, apparently forgetting that she's not yet QUEEN.

We assume that The Obama-for-America Campaign picked up the tab, since Michelle was accompanying Barack on official campaign travel.

Is this what he meant by "Restributing the Wealth?" Just curious.

Cindy McCain 300k for one outfit.
Sarah Palin 150K for a new look provided by the RNC.

Damn what a pig, Obama was referring to his wife all that time. Oel, its only drug money now, the cartels are paying for this one.

Bulldog:

You really amuse me. This was a story put out by the New York Post a couple of days ago.

Yesterday the Post ran the following RETRACTION regarding the story you have posted:

October 21, 2008 --

"THE source who told us last week about Michelle Obama getting lobster and caviar delivered to her room at the Waldorf-Astoria must have been under the influence of a mind-altering drug. She was not even staying at the Waldorf. We regret the mistake, and our former source is going to regret it, too. Bread and water would be too good for such disinformation."

m_disservice_134490.htm

Ooops! Since the Post was kind enough to retract it's statement, perhaps you could do the same.

BTW: Your posting this wouldn't have anything to do with the $150,000 clothing allowance for
Sarah Palin would it? God, I would be really annoyed if I contributed my hard earned money to a campaign that spent more than many homes are worth....on clothes! At least I see my money going to buy TV ads.

Maybe the VP CLOTHING ALLOWANCE is a McCain Economic Stimulus Package? Country First!

Well, I received this as an email. I must agree That if it is false, then chalk it up with the rest of the falsehoods being portrayed. Only an idiot would be okay with a candidate spending an obscene amount of money on getting elected. Obama is buying this election.

HEY, I WANT A PRESIDENT THAT SHOWS HE CAN OUTSPEND ANYBODY WITH MY MONEY. VOTE OSAMA

bulldog:

What do you mean "IF it is false". The story was "broke" by the New York Post. The story was retracted by the New York Post two days later.

THE STORY IS FALSE. Your post perpetuates a falsehood based on an e-mail. I have linked you to the ACTUAL RETRACTION. So break down and pull your misleading post.

I will give JohnKJR credit. I may not like his posts but when he accused Obama of using a "NEW FLAG" he pulled it when it was brought to his attention that the New Obama flag was actually the state flag of Ohio.

Do the right thing on this one.

I will agree with you on one thing. "Only an idiot would be okay with a candidate spending an obscene amount of money on getting elected" does tie in with my point that spending $150,000 of your donor's money on CLOTHES is pretty stupid.

I have searched and for whatever reason the NY Post has removed the article and you have to pay to see it. So I agree the room service must have been a made up story.

I apologize for any misinformation I have posted.

Now, let's see some Osama supporters do this.

bulldog! Thank your for your correction, I wish more people would do that. Some people post fake stuff as a "joke" but what they don't understand is that is how rumors get started. Some people can only rely on word of mouth and tv (mostly elderly). They don't know what to believe. They do not have the benefit of snopes.com or factcheck.org like we do. Think twice and check your facts before posting people, it could get repeated to someone that does not have the capablitly of checking facts and it could effect they way they vote!

A point I have is this: Obama puts out a commercial that says McCain is going to cut Medicare...what do you think that does to elderly...scares the crap out of them and makes them want to vote for Obama...but what they don't know is, its not true, we know that, because we can check facts, but they don't know that. If both sides would just stick to FACTS, and THEIR facts and stop spreading lies or exaggerations then none of this would be an issue.

But I'm all for side 3 like Jewwells!!

all the people who are barking about Palin's clothes...do you really think Biden and Obama have dozens upon dozens of perfect suits laying around?

How about Obama's plane. Not only a charter but custom renovated to include a special captain's like chair with embroidered leather....and that isn't being donated.

Bottom line...campaigns are out of control. Obama will have spent nearly 3/4 of a BILLION dollars to get elected to a job that makes $400,000 a year.

Let's not forget the $673,000 that the Obama/Biden campaign has spent on . . . FOOD!

Maybe because he thinks he can make a difference. Maybe because he loves his country. Maybe because he feels being black shouldn't make a difference.

Maybe . . . but more likly just so he can shove a socialist agenda down the throats of American people who voted for him because if they don't, they're racist. But you're right about one thing, being black shouldn't make a difference - if that were only true the he would have only 70% of the black vote instead of 95% and he would be about 5-8 points down in the polls.

I am a bulldog owner/breeder in Missouri. I believe the country has been taken over by politicians that do not care for the general public. That Change is definately needed but by people with common sense instead of our choices that we have to vote for.
