God’s House
God has given to me, a lot to think about,
A rainy week, a large roof, a dry place,
Far from the outside.
Two souls praying in the kitchen warm, bowing, one crying, one smiling,
Praise be.
Children playing, running, running playing, laughing, smiling
And workers working, with care, with care working, loving, praising
Far from the outside.
What a roof, the sound penetrates,
Rain and torment outside, protection from all sides within.
A small shelter may suffice, our home, our house, our protection.
How small, but within,
Far from the outside.
How great is the house of the Lord,
How strong, and protected, how safe, warm and full?
Far from the outside,
Forever.

DOGS AND MEN
A dog does not live as long as a man, and this natural law is the font of many tears. If a boy and a puppy might grow to manhood together and together grow old, and so in due course die, full many a heartache might be avoided. But, the world is not so ordered, and dogs will die and men will weep for them, so long as there are dogs and men.
(Author unknown to me.)
In loving memory of
Buji, Kimo, Shilo, Sherry, Babygirl, Gypsy, Leroy, Cindy, Lindy, and Tigger (a cat), Casper (a cat) and Red (a cat).
Praise God that Bo Jack is recovering well.

First Fruits

FIRST FRUITS
Proverbs: 3; 9. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: 10; So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
First fruits aren’t necessarily the best fruits, but they are the first! Can we imagine summertime and ourselves and others having fruits or food early, by saying; oh, I now have some pears ready to eat and simply passing the time by preparing them. Then telling it, or others seeing us having fresh food, although young fruit, others too, all across the countryside, and the church having not to supply its needs? First fruit, isn’t the full ripe fruit, but let’s be sensitive to thank God when he first begins to bless us.
Let’s say you have a project, situation or turn of events, and in the beginning you think oh, this is good about something in the very early stages of progress. We should thank God then for all he has helped us with and for allowing us to be successful and give glory to him for the, although minor, first fruits of your situation. You could discard the first fruits, allow them to grow before recognizing them, or ignore them entirely, but we shouldn’t allow an opportunity to recognize God’s presence to pass unnoticed. We should always be alert, and mindful of God’s worthiness, and praise Him for it.
God is beginning new blessings in our lives each day. As we become more sensitive and able to recognizing His work, we should thank him for what he has already done and for what he has begun for us each time we notice.
Romans: 6; 20-22. For when you were servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21; What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22; But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

I see on the country road Jacks Hamburger bags, cases of empty beer bottles, drink cups, and all just thrown out like pitching it into your neighbors’ front yard. I’ve lived in many other places too, and I don’t see it like it is here. I’d like to see a $1,500.00 fine for any public littering on Alabama, outside a city limit, and let the cities set any fine they approve above $1,000.00 is ok with me.
Kids are taught this crappy behavior by their parents. You have good parents that care, I can tell cause you have concern about it. Grow up and go to the legislature and fix it please—like you are trying to fix it in your blogg. Heck! At a church I know, I had seen on several occasions, youth deliberately tossing trash on the ground, IN FRONT OF THE TRASH CAN! It’s a thing about putting it in the can ain’t cool. Huh? I temporarily put a sign up sayin’, “Can YO!” , and they stopped it, but very too much trash in Alabama— YO!
How long does it take to grow up?

How long does it take to grow up? I’d say it depends on what you are and what you hope to be.. Ifin’ you’re a dog it generally takes a little over a year and a half, but by two you are surely grown.. A dog’s hope is instinct; he aspires to be only a dog. With great instincts he has no choice except to be driven to become the great dog his instincts dictate. A horse isn’t grown until maybe three and breeding plays a role, but horses have their limitations too.. A human boy how long to grow? A girl, how long?
With people—they grow in instincts, in intangibles and in other spiritual ways.. Physically, if you stop growing you are dead and everything you were goin’ to do won’t be done by you. It’s the same way emotionally and spiritually. If you stop growing there you are also dead, but in another way not physically. Everything you were goin’ to do won’t be done by you. You may even remember some of the joy you felt at your youngest age—before you died spiritually, or you may remember some of the things you were going to do.
Now, without being alive spiritually, without the renewing of your mind, you’ll never completely grow up. You will just grow old if you survive that long. You’re just wastin’ your time—no spiritual rewards in sight. The renewing of our minds is a great hope we can have in Jesus. The only real hope you have is to beg Jesus into your life to fix things. “I came so that none should perish”, Jesus said. It (wastin’ time) is kind of like what I’m doing here now, but different because I know spiritually I’m supposed to do this –kind of like instinctively and I don’t know the whole impact and I’ll likely not know—for a while (spiritually). I do know that I will be rewarded in time and times to come—this is hope—wonderful, wonderful hope. Thank you, God, for renewing my mind, for lifting me up when I got discouraged, and for carrying and sustaining me physically and spiritually.. Wonderful, wonderful Hope. Ask Jesus. Oh yeah--AND GET OUTDOORS!!! Whee-huuh...
