McCain’s choice of Running Mate may put Alabama in the Obama Camp.

 

Call me a dinosaur. Call me old fashioned.  Call me all alone, but you won’t catch me voting for a woman to lead this country or any other, not even if it were Joan of Arc herself.  Count me out because the Republican Party has finally proved to me that they have engaged as liberal a ticket as the other party.  They may gain some women votes but they have surely lost mine.

 

I’ve stood by them through many stupid blunders, like, not throwing Clinton out after impeachment, and like giving in on the Brady bill and other gun bills.  Like I trusted them and the Democrats on NAFTA, and like I am being patient for them to act on Illegal Immigration.

 

This goes to prove that they have lost their minds and are silly in their thoughts and deeds.  They are not the party of principal and don’t care about taking their responsibilities seriously.  Not only that, but I wonder if anyone at their table ever brought up the fact that they would lose all the votes of men and women that stand by this principal not to have a women leading the country.  I’d bet that they would not understand that, or they would not think that people actually have principals about it and that I will not change my principals to vote for them.  I’ll actually vote for another party.  Bye-Bye..

 

I just can’t vote for a woman.  I never have.  I don’t believe that women should be called upon or handed the responsibility of leading a Nation or People in dire circumstances.  Leading a private business is okay and great.  Leading the World is not—because it’s a man’s responsibility.

 

I predict that McCain will see a low voter turnout and has put some states, including Alabama, in the Obama column; although, he won the primary here.

 

Anybody have a sensible suggestion of whom I should vote?

Maybe you should move to Saudi Arabia, where women have no rights, are kept veiled and killed by their husbands if they don't do what the husband wants. Who do you think brought your miserable self into this world?.........Where did you come from the 12th century??? You are disgusting.

Briar, you are certainly out of touch with the 21st Century. Or the 20th for that matter. Women got emmacipated a long time ago and they are as capable or more in some cases than many men. To even suggest a woman could not hold this kind of office just proves you lived in the sticks too long.

So it’s okay for a woman TO vote for a woman just because she is a woman, but it’s not okay for a man NOT TO vote for a woman because she is a woman?
Women that identified with Hillary’s policies should have nothing in common with Palin’s. So they picked her to get the women’s vote? They expect to gain just those women that will vote for her JUST BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN? Huh..?
Kiss my grits! My principals don’t allow me vote for a man just because of his privates, but my principals won’t allow me to vote for a woman in this position because I don’t believe it should be her responsibility.
Sorry, but I need to put my happy wife back to work on the firewood… Whee Huuh!!

Tazaz, I like getting off the nut farm once in a while and don’t mind visiting out there because I know many like aks need counselin’, and I don’t mind sharin’ things that I know are true.
On my farm we value good Jack rabbits and nuts. Please do the same.. Whee Huuh!

Some men will not vote for McCain becuase he has a woman VP. Some will not vote for Obama because he is has dark skin. Both reasons are flawed.

By the way. Is it just me or does anyone else think Palin looks a lot like Tina Fey?

Ken, Don’t believe you can prove a flaw on the woman part, and I didn’t really want to get into that, but what do you mean by your sobering accusation? Are you just shootin’ ya mouth off?

Anyway, I don’t think you can convince me of a flaw because if a political party can expect people to switch parties to vote for a woman, doesn’t it make sense to expect some men to also go elsewhere? What’s right about expecting women to vote for a woman of a different party? Whee Huuh!

Scooter? You think Israel isn’t in a mess? She worked for the goof-up Henry Kissinger.
If I were to bite your cheek, I’d bite both of them until I heard the blood squishing in your shoes. I have the you-know-what’s’ to do it too. That is, if I were going to.

Ever been around a woman that can’t get her way? Ever seen one pout? How about fuzz-up with a “that won’t work stare”? Or bat those eyes to swing a little support? Or take advice or select the plan of a presenter because she liked her shoes?

Traditionally, women are the weaker sex (in my view); they are naturally dominated by men, usually. But until they are, they create a lot of unnecessary trouble trying to have all their feminine ways!

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and angry woman. Proverbs. 21, 19.

So I won’t be part of it.. I’m not voting for the Republicans presidential ticket this time.

I'm an Alabaman born and raised. I despise the use of the word Alabamian to describe such a unique person. I hate litter and litterbugs (especially, those that haul used roofing shingles and old sheetrock in open trailers). I quit smoking 19 months ago using Chantax. I'm Baptist. I like Larry Langford and George Bush. I supported John McCain (until he chose a female running mate that may be President in 2012), the War and the economy. I hate politics when things get ugly, but love rabbit huntin'. Anything I write is my own opinion developed through my life experience and beliefs; don't expect me to bore you with a lot of factual justifications (unless you ask for it)!
