When asked during a televised interview, whom he would support for President (McCain Clinton, or Obama), I saw Warren E. Buffett (Net worth 62 Billion US dollars), answer surprisingly to me, because he is one of those “rich folks”; He said, “well, I think either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama would make a fine President.”  This set me to thinkin’ as to why he would like that outcome?

Well I considered additional social programs, social healthcare, growing government involvement and government expansion into the welfare of Americans, more government taxes, and people generally bein’ kept better by the government.  This will have an effect to easily satisfying a greater number of the populace..  Altogether, people will have less to worry about.  You can quit trying to bust your hump to get ahead because 70% of your income will go to taxes for the “disadvantaged” of our society.  Everyone can be more satisfied with their needed government assistance.  Heck, six weeks guaranteed vacation is okay with me, since those “rich folks” will be a payin’ fer it—Right?

Wrong.  When these things happen and you can, practically, no longer get ahead by hard work; you, too, may settle in for a comfortable life instead of studying hard to become a great surgeon or whatever.  Here’s the kicker..  When people become satisfied with what they have and the Government is meeting the needs of “its people”, and everyone is finally comfortable, then, most and almost all profits made above the bare minimum needed to keep all these folks happy is goin’ somewhere else..  You know that extra bit of somethin’ you were willing to bust your hump for?  It’s gone; it’s gone to the top.  Everything above the bare minimum of what the people need to keep them satisfied is out of our hands and fueling the fires of the Benefactors.

Yep. It's essentially socialism. The government takes from those who "do" and give it to those who "do not". Call it redistribution of wealth - whatever, but the bottom line is that it makes people lazy. They have no incentive to do anything else. I concur with you on this one.

I'm an Alabaman born and raised. I despise the use of the word Alabamian to describe such a unique person. I hate litter and litterbugs (especially, those that haul used roofing shingles and old sheetrock in open trailers). I quit smoking 19 months ago using Chantax. I'm Baptist. I like Larry Langford and George Bush. I supported John McCain (until he chose a female running mate that may be President in 2012), the War and the economy. I hate politics when things get ugly, but love rabbit huntin'. Anything I write is my own opinion developed through my life experience and beliefs; don't expect me to bore you with a lot of factual justifications (unless you ask for it)!
