No more sex. That's right, the GOP don't want Americans to have sex anymore. Perhaps I should clarify this. Baby making is alright; sex for pleasure, even with your spouse, isn't.

Bush has gone on a rampage against contraceptives. The religious right does not believe in any sort of contraceptive. Therefore, a pharmacist, a religious right wing pharmacist, can refuse to fill an Rx for birth control pills. A sales clerk, a religious right sales clerk, can refuse to sell condoms. Perhaps this is why I gave up the Christian God. He isn't much fun.

Having said that...one has to wonder if this means that Walgreens, etc. can ask what the religious affiliation of someone applying to be a pharmacist at their store. If that pharmacist is a Christian, Walgreens should be permitted not to hire them. Therefore, it seems that religious discrimination is now acceptable (made even more obvious by the gay marriage ban).

What do you guys think? Is it time to have signs that say "Christians Only" in store fronts?

Some would say the best thing the devil ever did is make people believe he is God.

I second that - the ability to stretch a piece of information into the above scenario is in my opinion, out there.

The religious right does not want abortions or birthcontrol because they profit on selling and taking care of unwanted births.

Jesus is against sex. He encourages us to castrate ourselves in Matthew 19:12. If you look up the definition of eunuch, it says, "to castrate oneself". If you do a little more research you will see as with the story of the flood, christains stole castrating oneself from the sumerians in the 21st century B.C. He also tells us not to have sexual urges in Matthew 5:28. Wonder why the religious right are so simple?

AKS, you need to cite your sources for all this poppycock. Your rambling is incoherent.

And besides, where has all your tolerance gone? It was just last week that you were throwing love petals around and fairy dust talking about LOVE for fellow man.

That is a pretty monstrous over-generalization about a group of people. Hate speech, I tell you! :)

You have driven off a cliff with this one. And you brought all the nuts out of hiding. Simply stunning job.

I don't even know why they approve this type blog for the front page. It is just ranting and not words that inspire critical thinking. Not that it has to be but please set the bar a little higher..don't encourage this sort of crap.

"The DHHS definition of the term abortion is "any of the various procedures - including the prescription and administration of any drug or the performance of any procedure or any other action - that results in the termination of the life of a human being in utero between conception and natural birth, whether before or after implantation." The language that is most questionable is the "before or after implantation" clause, which could potentially apply to both emergency contraception and hormonal contraception."

Those eunuchs (slaves) were castrated so they couldn't have sex with the harem.

In Matthew 19:12, Jesus is referring to men being disabled (castrated) by other men. He in no way, tells men to "castrate themselves".

Before you come back with more BS, he did say, "some eunuchs were born that way and some men made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it". (He is talking about the kingdom of heaven not castration.)

It was not uncommom for priests to torture themselves in the name of God ages ago, that was their belief.

Not all pharmacists can refuse contraceptives or EC. It depends on which state you live in. In Arizona, Gov. Napolitano vetoed the "refusal bill," which would "permit pharmacists to refuse to fill prescriptions because of their personal beliefs." Thanks you, America, for voting out the criminals and voting in the compassionate, socially and fiscally responsible Democrats. Keep up the good work and do the same in 2010. Be scared of the evangelicals; they are on the rise and are no different than Muslim extremists.
