First of all, I feel honored to be able to listen to David Cook play his heart out on American Idol every week. The talent on AI this year is amazing, there have been other amazing performances, but the one who has caught my eye is DC!  I'm now ruined for any other man. Going to buy a DC mask! (Just kidding). Anyway, I appreciate an artist who can sing grunge rock and operatic broadway tunes like "Music of the Night" (I'm still picking my jaw off the floor from this one). When I heard "Hello" and then "Billie Jean" (yeah, I know he covered a cover, but it didn't seem to be such a big deal until he Cookiefied it, and everyone is still talking about it) I knew he had me where he wanted me. Then he sang, "Always Be My Baby" and there was nothing I could do from this point, I was now not only a COOKIE, but hopeless in love with a man half my age (crying now). Then he slays me with "I'm Alive" and "All I Really Need Is You"--he could rock me to sleep with this one anytime he wants! How am I supposed to vote when I'm a melting cookie all over the place, huh? (chuckles) I hope DC can get into "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," and this song has to be one of the most difficult songs EVER to sing. I know DC is incapable of ruining the song because he is a musical genius with a PERFECT voice and HUGE heart. I've heard him hit the high notes on "MOTN" and skipping octaves like it's nobody's business in "Baba O'Reiley." Even though AI is a singing competition, the judges are not satisfied with DC's perfect voice, now he has to totally change a tune up completely because everyone is now addicted to his new songs! Geez, even the professional artists can't write a new song every week, but somehow DC does not disappoint his fans (and the judges). Welcome back DC? He never went anywhere. Listen again to "Hungry Like The Wolf" and see if you don't see his distinct style. David, don't change anything--you are perfect the way you are. I love that he is so smart, yet humble, sweet, considerate, patient, creative, original, talent just dripping everywhere, everything he touches turns to gold (revitalizing other talented artists' careers just by covering their songs!), and melts female hearts all over the world (yes, I said the WORLD). DC is known all over the world now. His Analog Heart album (homemade cd) is going for $358 on e-bay last I heard. I am totally in love with David Cook, and there is no help for me...I wish I could meet him...so jealous of the girl who got to hug him after his songs at Power and Light square...Squirrelly loves DC!!!!

I am amazed at how wonderful this kid is! I heard he has Down Syndrome. What a wonderful world when someone with a disability can make it BIG!

I'd like him to do a DS awareness concert or something and educate people on how even though you might have D.S. you can still follow your dreams!

His brother doesn't have Down's syndrome. He has brain cancer.

Down's syndrome people have clear recognizable physical characteristics. To suggest DC has it only adds to misinformation.

"I heard" and going with it is a great purveyor of misinformation, particularly when one fails to check for himself.

Amazing considering all the correct information on the internet.

I love music, and I am totally COOKIEFIED! David Cook is now my favorite artist. He makes me feel like I'm 14 again. His performances make me melt (I'm a melting Cookie). I love DC, and think he is a musical genius! I am a Republican (don't want any more tax increases) and a Christian (I have actually read all of the books of the Bible, several times, every single word, so I am capable of having an "intelligent" conversation about God). I have written and recorded some Christian songs. I like to sing karaoke, hiking, and traveling. I went to Israel, Egypt, and Greece back in the mid '80's. I've been to Cancun, Mexico and the Bahamas, and Canada. I love rock music. I've sung many songs from many artists at Karaoke. Some of my favs include: Ozzy (Paranoid/War Pigs live version, Ironman, Fairies Wear Boots), Steely Dan (Do it Again), Aerosmith (Dream On), Moody Blues (Nights in White Satin), America (Sister Goldenhair), Neil Young (Heart of Gold), Collective Soul (The World I Know), Carly Simon (You're So Vain), Deep Purple (Smoke On the Water), Nancy Sinatra (These Boots Are Made For Walkin'), Weezer (Hash Pipe), Fleetwood Mac (Gold Dust Woman and Stop Draggin' My Heart Around--duet), Green Day (Boulevard), Stones (Paint it Black), Def Leopard (Pour Some Sugar on Me), Animals (House of the Risin' Sun), Badfinger (No Matter What You Want), Turtles (So Happy Together)--didn't hear DC do this one, but I'm sure he does it better than I do, Cream (White Room), and Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes (Journey to the Center of the Mind)--(great song BTW, showstopper, first psychadelic song I ever heard).
