With the way the economy is going lately... are any of you doing anything special to prepare yourselves just in case the worst happens? Stocking up on food? Saving cash in your home? Or are you just waiting to see what happens?

Dont know about most of you but since gas hit 2dollars11cents a gallon i have been makeing adjustments.

I have restocked the war chest got the tents cleaned and all the gear ready to go in a split second. Would take about 30min to be loaded and gone. I can live off the land so its not really a prob. I still have my house and its paid for plus I have a gen for elec if needed. Not really worried as yet.

I can't decide if we're not being told everything or if the talk radio people are overreacting. I'd like to think the situation is somewhat under control, but we've been bamboozled before. Buy enough bulk food to get you through a pinch, cash on hand for a few days just in case, and some containers full of gas is what we're told to do, just in case..... Do I plant a garden in my back yard? And, of course, we're protected with my good friends Smith and Wesson.

Sheila, that sounds like the people on the east coast just before a snow storm. Run out and buy all the bread and milk. For what? Snow melts and this so called economic crisis is being blown out of proportion. As soon as the election is over the economy will be fine and dandy. Sure there were some legit businesses that went under. Has nothing to do with us. Only ones hurting are the rich stock market types. My world is booming, just bought a new business and people are buying. Business gets better each day. Don't be fooled by the media spewing non sense. And you should always be prepared for the worst. Besides buy more ammo now before the Dems get Obama as Pres because he will ban guns and make ammo more expensive and harder to get. Support the NRA and vote against Obama. What a scumbag,lying communist Obama is. If he wins the country looses. I just wish his hypnotism of the uninformed goes away soon so people will awaken and see the evil he really is.

The kids have just about finished digging out our fallout shelter, and my wife cashed in her 401K so we could buy a herd of llamas. (Everyone knows paper currency will be of no use... and the system of bartering will return.)

Be sure to stock plenty of Spam. Oh yeah, and if your TV works off of an antenna you will be hurtin' bad come February.
