I honestly don’t know why I’m giving this story attention, but since I live in a small town there are 7 girls that I was friends with that have done this exact same thing. How disturbing!

I find it sad that these girls are having children just for something to DO! I understand that accidents happen and rape and other situations do arise, but to have a pact to get pregnant and your other 16 friends do also is just disturbing. Where are the parents? You can’t tell me that out of 17 girls, all of their parents were so naive. What is our society coming to?

The girls in my town that I have talked about above did all have their children and one actually had two. They all work at Dairy Queen and live at home with their parents. It is so sad that their parents have not said much because they are 19-21. I still just hate to see their future be put on hold at such a young age.

I hate to admit it, but I am 21 and cooked my first hamburger yesterday. It went ok, except the hamburger caught on fire while on the grill, I melted the top of the spatula, had no BBQ sauce to cover the black on the burger, and even burnt the sugar cookies! The future looks bright for my fiance' and he said they tasted Greattt!

For Emma (my niece) 5th birthday she requested a hamster to be a friend with her other male hamster Troy! So needless to say, I drove to PetSmart and bought a male hamster, told her it was a girl (and she named her Gabriella), and their fairytale life began.

Tragically, Gabriella’s life was cut short. Emma was on her way to summer camp and went to tell Troy and Gabriella goodbye when she noticed that something wasn’t right. There was something sticking out of the cage and it looked like bones she said. As she got closer, she discovered that Troy had eaten Gabriella’s head off!!

Emma was crying hysterically and telling Troy that she didn’t like him anymore (even after she forgave him for biting her finger months ago!). She ran upstairs and the drama began. Emma later went to summer camp and when she came home Troy was gone (he was really hiding out in his cage in the top of a closet in case Emma regretted getting rid of him). When she came home, she went about her business like any other 5 year-old would. She never mentioned Troy or the late Gabriella.

Emma decided that she needed to call me, Aunt Sara, and tell me what happened since I did buy her the hamster! She called and told me the news, and to make a long story short, she said that Troy ate Gabriella for dinner!! She didn’t cry, instead I thought I heard a small chuckle. Poor Emma!! Good news though for her, she is getting a guinea pig!

The late Gabriella. R.I.P.

Wow! I must say that even though I am partial to the site because I am helping with it, I love it. My aunt plotted out her route that she was going to take and said everything worked out great. There is no driving around and wasting your $3.88 gas trying to find a sale. Just logging onto the site and navigating around is much easier. I do like the fact that you can list as many items. I keep promoting the fact that we should add pictures to our listings and that way people could see what is for sale and the condition of the items. So have fun and enjoy the site.

I am so glad to be back here at Fox! This time I'm interning alongside Patrick, working on the web and in promotions! Great things have happened since I have been gone that I can't wait to share them all.

WOW! Semester began today and I already have a ton of things to do. Where does the time go? It seems just like yesterday I was unwrapping presents under my tree, ringing in the new year, and then my life shifted back to normal. Homework, real work, homework, then fun. Well, I guess I can't complain because I do actually enjoy school, I guess I was just getting too comfortable being off!

Just a little personal story I want to share!

My brother is 18 and a senior in high school! He is a total chick magnet, very independent, quite the singer, and a hard worker in school and out. Anyways, my mother scheduled his senior pictures and the week before he decided to get a slight MOHAWK!

My mother was speechless, and then her motherly ingenuity kicked in. She canceled his pictures, made him reschedule them, threw in some extra chores, and decided to let him be independent as long as his grades remained acceptable to her standards-(A’s and B’s). My mother never made negative comments about his hair (in fact she thought it was kind of cute), but decided to treat him the same as if nothing had happened. I will add that my bro quickly found that he needed mom’s help because his organizational skills are not that great. The wonderful sister that I am, decided to help him out for a bit, but not without a small price to be paid.

I helped him schedule his pictures, had to pick out the clothing-(not sweatpants, cutoffs, or baggy pants), and I even made him shave his hairy face. YUCK! After he was annoyed with me, we finally went to take the pictures. I applied hand lotion to his rough hands, buttoned his shirts, and critiqued his every move. After the shoot, he cussed me, hit me, and swore that if MOM would have went with him then he could have done whatever he wanted and wore whatever.

OMG! I think he realized that I was following in my mother’s shoes and he for once wanted his mama! When his pictures came back and he was shocked to see that his super cool hairstyle had just went out of style. No way! Mohawks are out of style? So lesson learned, my brother decided to re-do his pictures at his expense and needless to say they turned out quiet well.

WOW! What is this world coming to? I think I am going to be a vegetarian. I just don't get it. I live on a farm and yes, I have cows, but we don't need to clone them. There are already soo many of them to keep track of. What can a cloned cow give that a regular cow cannot? If cows are already able to reproduce, why help them? We aren’t in dire need of beef, are we? If it is not broke, don’t fix it.

First the tadpole, then sheep, and pigs, rabbits, and who knows what else. I just think eating a cloned animal is strange. Or is it? Maybe I'm just freaked out by science. In the meantime, I'm going to try to clone myself! This might be hazardous.

This is soo exciting! Lindenwood University film crew came to visit us, the class of 5! We felt like stars! We gave them interviews of how our experience was here at FOX, the knowledge we have gained, the friendships we have made, and then we gave them a grand tour! Some of us have also landed internships for the semester or summer. This opportunity for us has been an amazing experience! So move over employees at FOX, the class of 5 is taking over!! Just kidding!

This is so funny. My dog, Skeeter, is more human than dog. My boyfriend and I went to Colorado for Christmas and left my dog at home with his parents (where she lives).

I was so worried about her the whole time because I hate being without her and I think we both felt the same way. Timmy’s mom called countless times to tell me that she won’t sleep in her bed or even go into the bedroom because we’re not there.

My poor puppy was sick and didn’t want to eat, sleep, or play. I know she was lonely, as was I. I then started feeling the same way.

We came home from Colorado a few days earlier because I insisted (this took a lot of complaining to the boyfriend); but we finally left.

When we pulled into the driveway she perked up and her tail was wagging. She was howling and bouncing around with excitement. Later that night, I realized how ridiculous it was that I came home early from a ski trip for an animal!

Call me crazy, but she’s my buddy and I know there are more people out there like myself!

She’s 15 and on the top of the charts.  She's the host of Hannah Montana on the Disney show, singer, and role model for children, she’s got it going on.

Honestly, I have her cd and enjoy her music as well as her television show. Keeping this short and sweet, why is it so hard to get tickets? I had friends that went to her concert and said that there were many seats empty so the whole panic for tickets was a bit odd.

Does anyone have tickets? Wanna sell them?

After listening to the Z107.7 for 5 minutes, I heard the story about the baby from STL who was ejected from an SUV.

WHAT?? Did I hear that right?

Ok, well after I spoke with several people we all had different perspectives on this story.

Personally, I drive children all the time due to babysitting; but I had a car seat installed professionally so I felt safer when driving them. I also noticed that cars have hooks to make seats safer.

It takes a whole 1 minute to put a child in a seat and buckle them in. What was the problem?

Does anyone know if the child was ejected alone or with a car seat attached to him? I guess it doesn’t really matter because he’s safe; just wondering.

Hello everyone! I'm a senior at Lindenwood University and currently majoring in mass communications with an emphasis on television. I currently work at United Services where I am an assistance teacher for three year-olds. In my spare time I enjoy long shopping days, movies, and just hanging out with close friends. When summer rolls around, I cruise the river on my wave runner and love tubing as well. I enjoy working out, riding my four-wheeler, playing with my puppy "skeeter," dancing, eating good food, roller blading, skiing, volleyball, basketball, and photography. I'm a very outgoing person, full of energy, bubbly, and enjoys life.
