We now have an intelligent articulate President voted in by the people into the highest office of this land. The people have spoke and the have spoken in volumes. White, Black old, young, rich and poor. Yet there are those that still want to make this a divided nation as it has for the last 8 years. It is a time for ALL to come together as one. Build this country back to her glory. Reunite our allies with her. Let our enemies know we are strong again as a whole nation not a divided one. We have a chance now to take back what is ours. Can we change this country back to the healthy thriving America it has been in the past? Yes We Can. Can we stop this unprovoked war in Iraq? Yes We Can. Can we bring countries together, allies and enemies alike like never before? Yes We Can. It will take EVERYONE. But YES WE CAN!!!! There is a movement in this country now and the momentum is that of a locomotive. Get On The Train Or Stay At The Station the choice is yours.

I've been on that train for months and it will be pulling in to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on January 20, 2009. All aboard!

I hope you are right RD. I just look at his poor moral values, his strange bedfellows he has been hanging out with, his raise tax record, and I think he will continue down the same road and bring the country with him.
But I hope you are right and I am wrong. It wont be long until income tax time. We will see if 95% of the people get a tax cut. We will see if he can bring a reasonable end to the war. We will see if the economy comes up.
I will be the first to admit I had him figured wrong if he can do all that by this time next year.

I have been on a similar transit...fighting my countries enemies...domestically and internationally. Some have been trying to derail its movement. Not completely successful. You seem to be one of those that has tried to derail its arrival at success. Unity has never been complete. Why do you talk of unity now when WE have been asking for it from you for the last few years?

Take your own advice and accept the fact that Arpaio won! And yeah...the Iraq war, throwing in the towel is a slap in the face to all our troops who have died over there! PEOPLE of the WORLD join hands start a love train.......................
We just got threw getting molested by bail outs and predatory credit laws less eviornment protection acts etc.Bush got us good and supporting and making a love train with him as captain would be assinine.So figure out what pharmacuetical fits you and do it support bush and invest in pharmacuetical's.

Who was asking for unity? Not the Bush administration. Not his supporters. It was his plan all along with Cheney to divide this country. They needed supporters to stay with them no matter the cost. No there has been no attempt at unity for the last 8 years. Don't try to turn a good thing away as Bush has done.

magnum; That argument is old it doesn't hold water any longer. The job has been over done. We got rid of the man the first Bush couldn't. The Iraqi's want the US out of their country. There is no shame in leaving after the job was done. Saddam was captured mission accomplished as Bush put it. And as far as Arpaio goes, the voters such as yourself fell for the dog and pony show. Simple minds do simple things. I will continue to argue against his reign as furor of Maricopa County. Hitler will fall.

Your commentary is exactly my point.
You talk of joining together.

Support the country.

I guess supporting the country doesn't come to mind when there are politicians in office with whom you disagree.

My point before ...Why do you talk of unity now when WE have been asking for it from you for the last few years...

As a citizen of my country, I supported my country regardless whether I liked my president (I don't like some of the directions that Pres. Bush gave).

I didn't need to be ASKED by ANYONE to support my country. It was asked of me just by my being a loyal citizen to my country.

People do things without having to be literally asked...a sense of responsibility...volunteerism...a sense of citizenship.

BUT I voiced my disagreement and did my part as a citizen of my country. I did not complain to the rest of the world (including our enemies) as to the "terribleness of my country and "its" president" Examples that come to mind Nancy Pelosi, Dixie Chicks, Sean Penn, Jeremiah Wright, Susan Sarandon, Cindy Sheehan to name some scumbags.

When B.O. is my country's president, I will support him the best I am able as my president but I will exercise my citizen's right to disagree with the gov't (unless THAT is eliminated by the "apparent" communist - this possibility is not unreasonable given the recent history related to B.O.) without airing my country's dirty laundry to the world or look for comfort from her enemies (i.e. Iran, Cuba, Venezuela and so on).

If I feel that he has done right by my country, I may vote to support him. BUT...

I asked you who asked for unity and you did not answer that one simple question. Just because I didn't' back Bush nor his idiotic decisions to go to war and have our brave men and women killed for HIS CAUSE does not mean I don't support this country. Because I see things differently then you does not mean I haven't supported this country. I haven't been in support of this country for far more viable reasons. On the other hand how can you support a country that goes to war unprovoked? How can you support a country that keeps the poor down and makes the rich richer? How can you support a country that denies health care to children because a parent makes a few dollars more then the minimum to qualify for care? How do you support a country that has a second in command that adheres to neither the executive branch nor the legislative branch? No the question is how can you support a country that lost it's way for 8 years?

Spelling lesson # 1 for RD, its "furher" not furor. Got it spelling wiz? What is the connection with Joe & the Nazi's? Really. Explain. Is he shoving Jews, mexicans etc..into ovens? Are they being placed on trains at 2:00 in the morning? The point is, your messiah has socialist ideas. Spreading the wealth isnt in the constitution. Therefore, he is a socialist. Pretty cut & dry. I am outspoken like it or not. I have made some people cringe at my honesty. I have been called all kinds of names, but they roll off of me. I have been known to not go with the flow, EVER. If you throw a left hook I will duck it and throw a right jab and nine times out of ten connect. I am a free thinker and I NEVER listen to what the News Media or the Government lays out as the truth. I make my mind up all on my own. No one can sway me into thinking their way. So get used to it I am not going away. I'm like a fungus sooner or later I will grow on you and you can't wipe me off.
