Kansas City, MO (AP)
December 15, 2008
The Kansas City Police Department announced a new policy implemented to help curb the increased number of speeding tickets issued this year. After reviews by legal council it was deemed to be allowable by failing to completely fall into the parameters of "cruel and unusual punishment". The new system is a one-strike system where anyone pulled over for speeding is given Chiefs tickets on their first offense. Being pulled over for a second offense will mean you have to use them.

Just a heads up that if you tend to give gift
cards around the holidays, you need to be careful that the cards may not be
honored after the holidays. Stores that are planning to close after
Christmas are still selling the cards through the holidays even though
the cards will be worthless January 1. There is no law preventing them
from doing this. On the contrary, it is referred to as 'Bankrupcy
Planning'. Below is a partial list of stores that you need to be
cautious about.

Kansas City, MO (AP) - A seven-year old boy was
at the center of a Jackson
County courtroom drama
yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of
him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge
initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and
regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree
possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than
his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then
suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they
also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and
learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the
judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should
have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare
officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Kansas City Chiefs, whom
the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

So I know that 10 years into "rebuilding" the Chiefs are ready to start doing some decent building with these draft picks they are starting to accumalate. I would like to offer two suggestions....
HEAD COACH
TEAM PRESIDENT
Seriously, I'm available for either one. Now I know that I'm not the most experienced person for the job but I also know that I can't screw anything up worse than they have and I know that I would settle for a lot less money than those two wastes of paper are getting.
And on another note; going for two with 20 some seconds left in the game when the extra point after the touchdown would have tied the game? Going for two when it took more than a whole quarter to get the ball in the endzone to start with, and someone thought that they could do it on back to back plays??
Thanks for at least trying Tony, you had a helluva game today, but please consider a new team soon. A future hall of famer like you really really really deserves a super bowl ring before retirement and you're not going to get one in KC.

Coming up on the holiday season I know that some of us will be out shopping for gifts or what not and I wanted to share this with you;
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves
This is a group dedicated to supporting our National Guard and Reserves troops who have been called to active duty and deployed. Often this means that they take a pay cut because they earn more at their civilian jobs than they do with their military pay. Many employers out there have pledged to keep these individuals who have been called up on the full books of the company and continue to pay these military members the difference between what they were making with their jobs and what they are now making during their full time service. On this website you can see a map of the country at the bottom of the page and with that map you can pick a state. They will provide a list to you of companies that have pledged to put our troops first.
If you would like to support these companies who support our troops please visit:
