Has anyone else noticed that the "Emergency Bailout" of 700 Billion for the most part is still sitting and doing...nothing? Even the funds that they have distributed is being horded with little to no accoutability on the part of the Government. Even after all of the Chicken Littles in Washington said we need that money and we need it NOW!...OR ELSE! .............. Well.....where is the or else? Why has the Sky not suddenly fallen with the Bailout money just sitting there? Huh....
Now the Chicken Littles are coming out of Washington again...yelling "The Big 3 are Too Big to Fail!!" Terrible things will happen!!.......Excuse me? Haven't I heard this before somewhere?? Haven't we danced to this tune before?....Dejavu?
Well the Big 3 "Loan" (Bailout) Bill died in the Senate after the Pres Bush said it needed to go through Congress because that is the way it is supposed to work in this Great Republic.........well that is until it didn't go through......
It appears that the First 700 Billion dollar bailout had a few hidden clauses in it that gave Dictatoral powers to the Pres and Paulson....... So even if the supposed elected Officials of the People Shoot it down....the President and Paulson have the unlimited power to throw Our Money around to whom ever they Please.......when ever they Please with little to no accountability.
Does anyone else see a problem with this? I mean whats the point of having Elected Officials if the Pres can do what the Heck he wants???
Last time I looked the President's name wasn't Chavez........
Or was it?

"But war, in a good cause, is not the greatest evil which a nation can suffer. War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice – a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice – is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other." - John Stuart Mill
