If you haven't received your direct deposit stimulus ck. Read the small print. I had my taxes direct deposited, and relized that I hadn't recieved my stimulus ck as of the date I was supposed to.

I did some research on teh IRS website that I got of myfoxkc.com and relized that if  you had your taxes prepared and paid any fees out of your return, you will not get direct deposit, you will get a paper check.

That information was not advised through all the communication in regards to it. So watch out, if you think you are going to get it soon, you won't. Ck out the information on this website and go to the IRS website, you will be shocked at all the small print you don't know about.

Hope you all have a wonderful time! Thanks for reading this!

And to cease the RUMORS. The letter directly from the IRS states.

"YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO REPORT THE AMOUNT OF YOUR STIMULUS PAYMENT AS TAXABLE INCOME ON YOUR 2008 FEDERAL INCOME TAAX RETURN. IF YOU RECEIVE ANY FEDERAL BENEFITS OF FEDERALLY FINANCED BENEFITS GENERALLY WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY ANY STIMULUS PAYMENT YOU RECEIVE."

Carolyn, I wasn't sure how to take your post. So, if I'm incorrect, please correct me. I take correction and constructive criticism well. So here is my reply as best as I can from the way I read what you wrote...I didn't pay out for my tax preparation, however, I know several who did. Thus they will not receive their stimulus as I did, very quickly. What I feel very compelled to say though is, to those who weren't sure how or when they would receive their extra free money, (and as I said to another post) don't spend it before you have it. I know a very dear and personal friend who has had hers spent the instant she heard it was coming. She was pi$$ed when she found out she won't get hers immediately but sometime in July. Why was she so mad? Because she was spending it before it came. Fortunately, she was only mentally spending it. Now she will wait till July, just like others. I guess if a person is in financial straits and can't live without the free extra money we weren't counting on, it matters, and to those, I feel for. But sadly, from my experience, it's some of those who will blow it. This acquaintence of mine absolutely pi$$ed away her nearly 8 grand of tax return, and now to what I understand, will be getting another 12-1800 for stimulus. Sorry, but that PI$$e$ me off! Some of us work our a$$e$ off for the itty bitty return we get back (if we get any back and don't have to pay). Don't mean to use your post to sound off. As I said, if I am reading this wrong, please let me know!

Hey REDHOTZ your right.. but that free money was going to be a down payment on a new home for my family and I. Thats what I was going to blow it on. Thats about it. But thanks for that... we were supposed to be closing on a house so that we could get out of my sister in laws house, since we are new back to KC, and now we have to put it off more. No, with gas prices and food prices rising, we are unable to come up with the extra money esp with two small kids... but needless to say, when the times get touch, you get tougher!!!

I am a paralegal and my husband is a corrections officer, and we are still struggling.. when bush wanted us to spend it, I was going to spend on something to benefit us all and pay for itself in teh end... not to mke others richer.. by all means!
