A major earthquake occured in China.  It hit a region that produces 90% of the middle east's rice supply.  Now that there will be a shortage of rice going to the Arab countrys, the employees moral will be down since they won't get their rice pudding and multi-grain breads.

To offset this shortage the price of oil will go up in order to pay the workers more.

How was my propaganda for raising gas prices? Do you think I have what it takes to be a PR guy for the big oil industries?

How do you know that the employees' morals will be down? In order to say that, one has to know that they were upstanding social citizens to begin with. And what does and earthquake have to do with lowering societies morals? And who is to decide what is morally correct amongst a group?

very confusing.

HUH?

Employees get paid on morale? I thought it was supply and demand all this time. Man I should be making a fortune.

Most of our oil comes from Canada and Venezuela anyway.

And do middle eastern people really eat that much rice?

This the most bizarre post in a while.

Well the fact there are possibly 20,000 dead in China should mean less demand and therefore the price of oil should go down. Top that with thousands dead in Myanmar and gas should be about $1.50 (I wish) but no the speculators have found other news to run up the price. I hope these ba$tards burn in hell for screwing the global economy for their own greed.

For a couple who didn't get it. This was a complete fictional article of why gas prices will go up.

On a serious not though I was watching the news and one analyst mentioned the price of gas now and reminded us that it's been a good year in regards to the fact that no pipe line has been bombed by terrorists, rebels overtaking a company in africa and hurricane season isn't here yet. June 1st is the start of hurricane season in this region of the world and the other two could happen at anytime.

Imagine the price of gas once that starts up.

They are lucky there was a refinery in New Orleans when 300,000 drivers were taken off the road during Katrina. Just think. 300,000 people no longer driving, the price should've went down. Instead it went up. If the refinery wasnt there, I wonder... Would the price still have went up.

They hadnt built a new refinery since 1976. We need one in N. Dakota, Kansas, Michigan & N.Caroline damnit!!! Oh yeah, and drill in Alaska.

I watch, I interact, and I move among you. I'm everywhere and nowhere. I pull the strings, plot and scheme. We all are playing one huge game, but are you on the right team? Are you honest and true to others....yourself? I'm not angry, just a judge in what is right and what is wrong. I don't only speak about this.....I act.
