National Holiday today celebrating Martin Luther King and all of his achievements and we have a group of "activists" and "citizens" spinning this occasion to stir the craziness.  The decision by the judge to find in favor of the officers has made alot of people upset.

I read the article by Fox 4 and just shook my head when I read some of the things that the demonstrators were saying.  Although I wasn't shocked I'm just still amazed on ignorant people are.

You have a judge who was neutral in this case.  Who reviewed all of the facts and the looked over the investigation.  He even reviewed policies set out by the Police Dept.  His discovery found that the recomendation by the chief to fire the officers was vague and inappropriate.  I guess they are now accusing the judge of being part of the great white conspiracy.  They stated that if it was two black officers and a white woman involved this would never happen.  Well I believe if Ms. Salvo was a white woman this would never be as big of an issue as it is today.

  Prediction:

1.  The Police Board will make the decision to terminate the officers. (Who wants the "activists" organizing a lynch mob against them as they did against the mayor?)

2.  The Officers will file a lawsuit and after a couple years they will be allowed to come back to the Dept.  They no doubt will have moved on, but glad to accept their back pay two years to late.

3.  The Police Chief and the Police Board will continue to practice their terroristic tactics by suspending the officers pay until they take their time investigating and while the Board puts off their duty to make a timely decision indefinitely.

I just wonder if those same people would have been marching for the cause if it were a white woman who had been arrested and lost her baby (which there is no evidence that their actions contributed to the loss). I seriously doubt it. Race is still a huge issue in this country, unfortunately and it seems that those who supposedly want equality still find ways to divide.

I am not here to defend the officers actions. It sounds as if the police procedures were at the discretion of the officer and somewhat vague. I don't know for sure because I have never seen the rules.

It's just sad that every time there is conflict between a white officer and African American it is immediately earmarked as racism.

Jdembski,
That is exactly why all the special interest groups may be in existance. Intolerance.

I agree Jdem...I'm black and I'm an officer and I tell you what. If the suspect is pregnant and is out of control...why is it our fault that we don't immediately take her to the hospital. Be it black, white, asian, mexican whatever I'm getting control of the situation first then asking questions later. She had to go to the hospital so bad then why wasn't she on her way there. Black interest groups are always looking for a reason to say "oh they did that because they were black" and I say grow up. Its that way of thinking that keeps racism alive in this country and abroad. If it were a white female and this happened...no one would say a word. Especially, not Al Sharpton. Ever heard him speaking out against what Kobi did to that girl in Colorado, or what OJ did to Nicole, or what Pacman Jones did to those black strippers? No and you won't. Its called racial bias and it is what is killing our country and keeping money is their pockets. There was a good exploitation of Al Sharpton and his twisted ways of thinking on MSNBC with Chris Matthews...YouTube it...you'll find that ol' Al and as righteous as he pretends to be.

So yah, those officers probably should've taken her to the hospital after all was under control, and I would even suspend them for not doing so. But I don't think any of this was because of racism.

Good post LMP and thank you for your service. It doesn't get said enough on how much the service of the fine people in law enforcement is appreciated. We only seem to hear the negative news. I would like to see more stories on the good things that law enforcement do.

I really wish that in this year 2008, that this issue were no longer an issue. It's sad that we haven't come farther along since the days of MLK.

Propaganda fueled by racism. That has been going on far too long and I see no end to it unfortunately as long as people are profiting from it.

This Police Chief is nothing more than a puppet for the black community. I cant imagine any policeman wanting to work in K.C. If you tase, hit, shoot any black person reguardless of reason you are automatically guilty until prove innocent.

The longterm effect of situations like this is that we are going to lose good cops because they are afraid of being persucuted for trying to do their job right. It would seem to me, and I'm no cop, but it would seem to me that maybe if she would have started out with truthfully saying that she was having a medical emergency she would have received immediate and proper care. Instead, she lied about the car, lied about the temporary tag, lied about her license, lied about where she had been, lied about where she was going, etc. before ever saying she was having a problem. Yet the ignorance rains down upon them because of race. Thats to bad, hopefully their careers aren't over now because of her lies and because of the racists with dark skin.

I watch, I interact, and I move among you. I'm everywhere and nowhere. I pull the strings, plot and scheme. We all are playing one huge game, but are you on the right team? Are you honest and true to others....yourself? I'm not angry, just a judge in what is right and what is wrong. I don't only speak about this.....I act.
