I've heard a few rumors about some places that are now charging a 'one time membership' fee as a Private Club, where they allow smoking...like it used to  be for going to bars and drinking.  Smoker's prohibition?  Can anyone confirm or deny this?  Some city's are complaining that their lunch business just moved to the next town where smoking is allowed (when they don't sell x% of food), so I can see where a 'Private Club' might be an idea...just not sure if it's real.

The Privae Club thing is what they did down in Oklahoma City after the Smoking ban was passed, then about 2 months later they Banned the Private Club with a new law covering any Commercial building,

Yes its Dumb, No its not about our health, its about Money and Political correctness,
If it was truley about smoking being dangerous, the Goverment would ban the sell of cigarettes, but they will never do that because of the Billions of dollars they get from Big Tobacco. If everyone quit smoking tommorow, the goverment would have to slap a big tax on Soda pop or milk to make up the the loss.

That's right, and guess the same diseases caused by "smoking" will still be around also.

Just another example of Government telling people how to live. I wonder, Did OKC have a second ballot vote for the comercial building ban?
