Burning flags? Pretty cheesy Fox4...

The teaser at noon, "Why are these veterans burning the very flag they fought for?". That was a cheap shot to get people to watch the story. The story: How to 'properly dispose of your old and tattered flag'. Why not just run a story informing those who may not know what to do with their old flags? Buuutttt noooo, let's try to grab some cheesy ratings with a controversial headline? For shame....

Twice this week, and with it having just been Veterans Day, they've disrespected our flag and veterans. I quit watching fox4 when they publicly stated on the blog boards how they use factors that effect ratings to determine which abducted teenage girls are worth their time to report on. Now they disrespect our country by holding an interview during the National Anthem and then disrespect our veterans by misleading people into thinking they are violating the flag of the country they swore to defend. What a joke. Fox 4 is a disgrace and an insult to America. They have just proven that they are more interested in this years profit sharing bonus and advertising revenue than they are in honoring our country or the greatest Veterans on the planet. Way to go losers.

Teasers drive me nuts. I get fed up with them and change the channel cause I'm tired of waiting 20 minutes to see the story after seeing three teasers about it.

You know what, in light of their recent unpopular airtime shannagans..I wonder if Fox will attempt to do more to save any face for insulting veterans and airing distasteful teasers, or keep sticking their foot in their mouth?

Funny.. start keeping track of how many teasers end up being anti-climatic. such as the 'vets burning flags' one listed above. There are a lot. Sometimes I feel bad for the news anchors having to (without rolling their eyes) at things that arent too far from "Air...and how it could kill your family and make your dog run away".

And dont get me started on this Staph resistant crap going around. Some parents in VA made the school steam clean the astro-turf?!? *sigh* Stupid people make me tired.

It wasn't being misled by a pre-story teaser that offended me. It was the news making it sound like American Veterans were disrespecting the American flag. That was wrong.

I agree with BasehorLady about the teasers. On the 9pm news last night, I heard the teaser for the high school football team that is getting National attention several times, but never heard the story because I got tired of waiting for it and turned the TV off.

Why can't they just report the story instead of running all those teasers? Just report the story and move on to the next story. Simple.
