John Edwards says that we should all give up our SUVs.   I personally don't own a SUV, I have a PU, which is a SUV with a convertable top.  I need a PU and would spend all my time borrowing PUs if I didn't own one.  I don't know, but most SUV owners seem to LOVE them, and they love not sliding around in the snow.   I hope that good ole Edwards is going to give up his limo and arrive at the primaries in a KIA.  Oh, and he should give up that mansion that uses more electricity in one day than I use all year, too.  Try a 2 bedroom ranch, JOHN.

As I have stated before this is why our counrty is the way it is. They (the big wheels in congress, etc..) expect us to give up the things we love and have worked hard for so they can continue to make the big salaries. Why doesn't he give up like you stated RaetherEnt his limo, big masion, not to mention his large staff that takes care of his mansion and his family. Cut their wages see how far they go with what we (the people) are expected to live on.

He won't give up his stuff, and shouldn't be asked to, because.....he worked for it. He didn't win the lottery or was given his stuff, he earned it (as a trial attorney). Went to law school, learned how to spell, write, use proper grammer, clearly communicate thoughts, and made a lot of money in his chosen profession. Happens all the time for millions of Americans. His current low paying career choice, (politician), merely opens up the door for personal criticism--which comes with the territory! Low paying is used in comparison to the millions made as a trial attorney

China is moving towards the number one polluter. Even some of the smog over L.A. at any given time originated from China. The price of fuel will force people to economize, but of course the richer type's will perseveve. The rich don't have to worry too much about the price of milk, fuel, electricity, or their entertainment. I don't bash the rich, because we all are free to pursue our own riches.

MP..did you read the first comment? Nobody wants to ask him to give up his stuff. Why then, should he ask us to give up our stuff? And if he thinks it will be good for everyone, he should set a good example by being the first to make a sacrifice.
