Fox 4 News is the Foxiest! I love the new website! Being able to join the team in this manner is the most fun ever! Keep up the good work guys. Hey Don, is there any way we could get the complete weather at one time?? Many times we are on our way out the door and only get a piece of the weather. Stringing it out through the entire newscast drives us nuts! (And all the stations are doing that now.) Do they think we won't watch the rest of the news? We will still watch ALL of the news, I promise!

Hey Busybee!

I'll try to give you more of the forecast more often. I at least give the ENTIRE DAY 6 times an hour, and I try to do at least the 4-day or Longranger 4 times an hour.

I heard on the news, and read in the local paper about the 15 year old girl who has accused a deputy sheriff of misconduct. According to the news report this 15 year old was in a park in Sibley with friends AT 2 A.M. IN THE MORNING! Pray tell me what in heaven's name are these kids doing in a park at that hour?! They should be home in bed. I can't believe her parent/guardian allows her (and this goes for her friends, whom I'm assuming are in the same age group)to be out at that hour. Of course, I know how "sneaky" some of these kids can be and perhaps they were "overnighting" at a friends home. . I come from the old school where I knew who my kids were hanging out with and I knew their friends parents.
I'm not excusing the officer if what he is accused of actually happened (assumed innocent until proven guilty). BUT if that 15 year old had been home where she belonged it could not have happened either. Is there no "curfew" for young people anymore? If what she claims is TRUE it is a very unfortunate wake-up call for her. That also goes for the other young people that were in the park with her. As for the officer, if he is found guilty he needs to be dealt with in the harshest manner - and I'm sure he will be.

Retired (?) and wondering how I ever found time to work! We live in the county - very near Grain Valley. They have brought the city limits to our north fence and across the street. Close enough! My husband and I (Ray and Wendy Keys) have lived in this area since 1977. We have watched G.V. grow and have encountered many "adjustments" in our (use to be) rural living. We have two dogs, Riley and Sophia (Sophie). After losing our little Yorkie/Silky mix to cancer last November, we adopted Riley from a shelter. He is about 7 years old. Then we decided that Riley needed a playmate so we got a little Lhaso Apso puppie (now 8 months old). They have about an acre of yard to run and play in (besides the house). We adore both of them. We adore animals! We have woods behind our house. Separate from the woods and the yard is our "barnyard". In this area we get to enjoy seeing deer, wild turkey, fox, rabbits, etc. We love it! Ray keeps busy hiring out for "honey-do" jobs, plus doing security guard work four days a week. I stay busy with mowing, keeping house, selling Avon, and keeping up with the dogs. :) We attend church regularly and I sing in the choir. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and having family here. Family is very special to us. There now, you have the low down on the Keys. We love watching Fox 4 News.
