My crocus are poking their little heads up! So are the daffodils, tulips, iris, oxalis, scallia and muscari. Those last 3 might be scientific names...I'm not sure. Anyway, I'm so excited for spring!!! All that I planted in the fall is begining to come alive and it's great!
So, who else is excited for spring flowers?

So, who is your favorite actor or actress?
I have been doing Chat With the Stars for 6 years and I have seen quite a few interviews. It is always interesting & fun to work on. Will Smith & The Rock are ALWAYS good...always have interesting things to say and appear to be down to earth people.
One thing that I have noticed...the unknowns usually give very good interviews. I figure it is just that they are not known well and have nothing to hide.
Robin Williams has always given a wacky interview. He is my favorite actor. He can do anything! I highly recommend "Dead Poets Society" to see just how amazing he is as an actor. Or "The Fisher King."
Meryl Streep is fabulous, as is Cate Blanchett. And, now it's time to come clean with your favorites! Go ahead and list 'em

Let's talk about gardening!!
So, what did you do this weekend? We were gardening. I enjoy it so much. When I was a young kid, growing up in southeastern Pennsylvania, I hated it. My parents had a big garden and always "enlisted" my brothers & me in weeding & such. Let's face it, what 8 year old wants to do that? I whined & moaned & made a fuss every time.
As a young wife & mother, I was living in an apt and found that I really missed having flowers about. So, I embarked on growing from seed. When I told my family what I was doing, well...I thought they were going to fall out of their chairs. Me? The one who complained so? heehee!
It's been a learning process, teaching myself what to do (and getting some help from my older brother who is a genius). And, I really love it.
Fast foward to today, we are creating a new bed, in which I will plant irises (my favorite!), tulips and an assortment of other bulbs. We would also like to put in a trumpet vine.
What are you working on in your yard?

Well, it's time for me to get some shut eye. It has been a busy week. Lots of editing for the morning shows, and then the various packages I work on. Chat With the Stars was fun this week. Lots of fun exchanges and plenty to work with.
There are two FOX 4 Funny packages for Friday, as we had so much fun in Sept. I couldn't even get all the material into two packages.
I hope you enjoy blogging, KC, and enjoy our newscasts. This is the best station, if I do say so myself :)

It's Red Friday and I'm sporting my Eagles green. What's with that?!
Welcome to my world :) I'm Belinda Brusch & I make the magic happen! Or something like that. I edit 4 hours of local video for the morning news here at FOX 4. I have been at this 10 years. My hours are a little off, but someone has to do it, right? 3am-11am, Monday-Friday. I'm delirious half of the time and that's okay. The job is a little crazy and hectic, but I actually enjoy it.
When the morning news is over, I edit Dr Hock's packages. Dr Hock is a very nice person...who you see on the air is who I see.
I also make the movie magic :) I edit and produce Chat With the Stars and I take care of the Screening Room video. Basically, as I tell people, I do the movie stuff.
In case you were wondering (and I know you are), this is how Chat With the Stars works. FOX 4 film critics Russ Simmons and Shawn Edwards attend various junkets for various films. When they get back from these junkets, they bring me all of the interview tapes. There are always two tapes per interview(sometimes there are three tapes per interview)...one for the celebrity/ies and one for Russ or Shawn. I "log" (watch them) these interviews, and then I piece together and create the package that you see on the air. It is a lot of work, but I find it rewarding. It keeps me creative.
I LOVE movies and have a ton of useless entertainment trivia rolling around in my head. That really helps out a lot when creating these packages.
I also create FOX 4 Funnies each month. I save the video from the airchecks (we record our shows each day and those tapes are called airchecks) and bring in my own music to dub and then I choose which segment and where it goes in the package and with what music. Again, it keeps me creative.
And, that is my week. Questions? Comments? Let me know. Be sure to check out all of the FOX 4 blogs. I work with great, great people and they all have interesting things to say. Also, be sure and check out my editing compadre, Matt Hensley's blog:

He shares a love of film and wouldn't mind at all some visitors to his blog.
HAPPY RED (GREEN) FRIDAY! GO EAGLES! Or Chiefs :)
