Illinois deputy arrested on drug charges in Texas The Associated Press

GROOM, Texas -- A longtime sheriff's deputy from Illinois and his traveling companion have been arrested on drug possession charges in Texas.

Forty-seven-year-old Cook County Deputy Darryl Jenkins and 31-year-old Dorothy Edwards were arrested Sunday when they were returning to Chicago from Los Angeles. Both are from Calumet City, Illinois.

Texas authorities say they found 138 pounds of marijuana and 4,000 grams of cocaine in the couple's vehicle during a traffic stop. The drugs have a street value of about $368,000 and were found inside luggage.

Both remain jailed on Tuesday on $60,000 bail each. Neither has an attorney.

Cook County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Patterson says Jenkins has been placed on paid suspension.

Jenkins was a Chicago courthouse deputy for 22 years.

What do the bloggers think of this?  And, of course, it's Cook County once again.

Who else is getting tired of a few bloggers that mouth off yet don't enable comments?  Are these the same individuals that feel they are always right in ANY thing they do?  This reminds me of a boss at a prior job that was so out of it he disallowed ALL feedback - thus resulting in a demotion.

I know some of you are RIGHT and embarrassed about it while others are just plain old happy about their candidate's nomination.  You sometimes compare your person to the likes of MLK - I think not!   Let's live and enjoy the American dream and allow free speech (and feedback) and wait until November to cry.

A little hint at either candidate - one won't make it four years while the other will show you who he really represents.

“I just can’t seem to get it right today” is the craziest commercial I’ve ever seen. I get the idea of what they are trying to say but it just doesn’t sink in. After seeing it a few times, if I were a Kia owner, I’d be offended.

It gives you the idea that Kia Spectra owners are ignorant. You have a 50/50 chance of pulling to the gas pump on the correct side. The arrow near your fuel gauge seems to help, and about 99% of all cars have their gas doors on the drivers side.

So, Kia owners are you more surprised by your low trade in values or the fact that “Some can’t seem to get it right at all”?

I am always trying to find the correct answer. Even though I am clueless nearly all the time I am still not the dumbest on this planet.
