As Christmas Gets Closer

My idea of Christmas isn't the gifts, or wrapping paper, or where to find the best deal. It's what's on my information.

I pray for peace in my family. For loved ones to let the past go and forgive. For love to heal.

This is all I want for Christmas. If you said a silent prayer for us, thank you.

2mini, my husband and I are spending Christmas alone for the first time in 33 years. I'm going to miss the kids and grandkids, but it will be nice to spend more "quiet time" with God. We aren't going to put up a tree or wrap gifts, but I believe it will be a more meaningful celebration than we've ever had. I have peace about my family, but it hasn't always been that way. Forgiveness is the best gift you can give or receive. I will pray for your family to give and receive that gift this year. Merry Christmas!

thank you sew_what. I still have quite a few children @ home---but it's the one who isn't living for the Lord that achs my heart---the one who can't forgive and go forward. I've put him in God's hands. ----it's the family members who won't forgive one another and go forward. Messes. But I know my God is biggger than those who are wrong and wronged. thank you for the prayers and for sharing. God bless you this wonderful season. (you should put a tree, IMO). I love Christmas trees.
